With me engrossed with my new skill tree, I got another skill from a level-up.
[
I honestly didn't think I would get my first level-up this quickly, it usually takes about 3 days to get it, Parasites usually don't get to this level.
"I've got to ask, what's your record?" I asked the guy.
"Lvl 2, yea, pretty bad." He said, making me relieved I wasn't working with pure trash that hasn't even gotten a skill lord account to lvl 2.
You might be thinking 'Couldn't he have just worked on one account for like a year?' No, he couldn't. Because skill lords are locked into 'Ironman mode' and 'Hardcore mode', meaning you don't get a cheat inventory or a pause button, and the moment you die, your character gets deleted.
The man wanted to know something too "What are you going to ask them if you get to the end? I'm going to ask for a continuation to the mmo story-line"
"I'm going to ask for; An increase in the time ratio of my capsule, an advisor posistion at the company for
What were we talking about? Well, do you think we just isekai-ed into this place? No! We were asked if we wanted to join a challenge in a new map, with a wish to do with the newly annouced
It was reccomended that they should treat this place like reality, because it actually was, but I didn't listen, and I wouldn't care if it was true. Nobody really believed it, Jk most people actually did.
Even I did, because children were just to detailed, because the real game was way simpler with children, and you couldn't create them either. Which is why it was so easy to make a tutorial on raising children in
You just realize these types of things if you play the game long enough.
The npc's had no clue what we were talking about "So, are you going to join, or are you going to die? Wait, you won't die, sorry, habit."
As normal, weird eyes were apon me, I didn't care though "Will you teach us?" The ranger elf asked.
"What do you mean? The answer varies." I said.
"Train us, like teach me how to make a better map!"
"Why are you asking about maps?"
"I asked you previously about how good my map was."
"I don't recall."
"You don't?! That makes sense actually."
This grand conversation was interupted by the mage girl, actually, why is the ratio of men to women in this party 1:1? That's very unusual. There was an elven ranger, a female warrior, a female mage for women side.
For men there was the
That mage girl said, with glasses (In an era they shouldn't have glasses in) "What she's asking, is if you will make us stronger."
I paused, then answered "As long as you're good with changing classes, because, first;" I pointed at the priest "Religion classes are usually high-trash, except
I pointed to the female mage "To be honest, there are far to many 'Super-high-Trash' and below classes that stem from the base-mage-classes, and the psuedo-trash ones, they mostly stem from 'Null-mage', which you 100% are not part of. Fourth;" I pointed at the mage dude "Same as the other mage, though I'd honestly recommend changing to a 'Wizard' instead. Fifth;"
I pointed at the previous leader, or who I thought was the leader "You, you probably want to be a swordsman or something, I'm not really sure what else, but, don't choose sword saint, ever. Ever! EEEEVVVVEEEERRRR! Hero? Maybe, a hard, hard maybe. But sword saint? The moment you pick it you are a parasite! You lose your rights as a sentient being, which is me even recognizing you as something with a conciousness. And with a good amount of priority to be culled, for the preservation of the children's sanity and future!"
And so they refuted with meagre defenses;
"But lord Atrea blesses his followers!" I responded with; "Who ever said that blessing was a good thing?"
"But one of the most powerful people alive is a ranger!" I responded with "Then they must have the 'Jack of all trades' skill tree, one of the most difficult to aquire skill tree cores, aka. You won't ever get it. And they even wasted it on something like a ranger class... I'm dissapointed."
"But mages stand at the pinnicale of magic! My
"Why wizard?" I responded with "They overall have better classes, and we'd already have a mage if she choose to join, and you're body just seems more suitable for wizard activities."
"Sword saint is the pinnacle of swordmanship! How could you say they are parasites!?" I responded, no disdained her with a response; "If you have a modicum of skill, you will completely surpass a Sword saint, even if you're a apprentice swordsman. There is no skill involved while having the Sword saint class."
These words caused all of them to stop, pondering if I was sane. Looking at the newbie which was nodding crazily after I talked about how sword saints were trash, he was incited to talk "To be honest, Sword saints are only popular because anyone who uses it is barely-decent for their class tier and level, if I had any advanced class I could destroy a sword saint of the same level with the same skill crystals and skill tree cores."
This blatent slander of a class that is prided by nobles, was surprising.
"But you'll make us stronger, right?" The elf ranger which had no such concern said.
"Yea, basically."
"Then I'll join!" The ranger said, based on my half-assed analysis, she seems less concerned about this than the others, maybe less chained on the pride of a D-rank adventurer, where that is pretty good.
That was really good, but I wasn't teaching her map-making, it'd be a waste of time. I had automatic-map-making-prowess, pretty much, I make maps in my own mind at all times. I have an amazing sense of direction, because I never lose track of north, west, east, and south.
Pretty much, I wasn't sure what to do with this elf girl, but I did know one thing.
I picked up the harvested wind wolf fur, and rapped it around my shoes, then I looked through the instructions of this
[Magic creation(Classic);
The word calls apon the laws of the world, talk with the land, converse with the sea, and command the sky.
-You can cast and create new spells through the spoken word of a great language.]
Wow! A great language creates magic! I've heard of that before, shamefully, you were never able to play as a dragon, so this ability was always out of my grasp, aka. You have to be a dragon to do this... you should need to be a dragon to do this.
"Yrujk burnijsew(Stick permanently)" I said in an *ancient* great language, why did I know this? Because I was bored, and I wanted to talk to an enemy type that came out of a cryogenic freezing pod, which was from an ancient civilization, that used a great language.
We calmly talked out our differences, and it was actually speaking coherent sentences, I even got rid of the misunderstandings between the cryogenics and the kingdom that was built ontop of the ancient kingdom's grave. Though that save was deleted because I made a mistake in my character building, and found that beyond that the character was pretty much trash no matter what I did.
[The Wind wolf's hide blesses the shoes.]
[Your 'Leather shoes' gains
[Guided by the wind;
The stronger the winds, the bigger the speed increase.
-10% increase to speed overall
-0-40% walking speed increase based on the strength of the winds (No matter which direction)]
[Name can be changed.]
[Register name; _ _ _ _ _]
'Feng', I typed into it, it meant 'Wind' in chinese. Why did I know chinese? Because the translation function of the player character isn't fuctioning while using a Skill lord account.
[Registered.]
I put on the boots "Ah, that's nice, a speed that I'm slightly more used to."
The winds were pretty healthy today, giving a boost of 12% in movement speed + the 10% previously mentioned.
This is why I went for Wind wolves instead of something else, their hide is imbued with wind mana, allowing you to easily make artifacts that increase speed. Though the boots look like trash right now, I made sure it wouldn't get in the way while moving.
I asked if they were ready to join the party, they said they'll 'Think about it', but since I was going to hunt, and getting out of a party wasn't possible outside of the adventurer's guild I sugjested a 'Temporary allience of me, and their party', they accepted.
My name was Urial here, not this body's name, but the name I choose. This little trick of mine, was only possible since I created a 'Temporary party' with my adventurer card called 'Me' without anyone else in it.
Tada!
This is a trick I learned with some difficulty, after I wanted to get a quest that I wasn't high enough rank for, but didn't want to join a party.
The reward is devided by how many Wind wolves the two sides killed of the initial 20, I'm guaranteed a nice 30% already! Which wasn't that much actually, not enough for me to think of it as pocket change, more a loose coin worth less than some trash, like a penny or something.
This was mostly to show off, jk, I was going to get some quick cash and artifacts with everything I harvest.
I left quickly and jumped on the Wind wolf I had just tamed, forcibly turned it's head, and slapped it's behind lightly. Causing it to rush forwards "Yihaw!"
How did I control steer this one? Although I wish I could say I used the 'Great language of Wind wolves' to communicate with it, that has been litterally 'lost to time', a Wind wolf gave the god of time the side-eye, and as such, the great language of Wind wolves was lost to time.
So my first thought when I started to try to instantly ride a Wind wolf without training was to use telepathy magic to tell it orders with magic, but when put into use, it was shown that my lower-level characters didn't have enough mana for that.
So then I tried to manipulate it with mental magic, then I tried to make a new great language for Wind wolves, that worked, but it didn't carry over save-file to save-file.
But through grit and experience, you learn how to control one, which is with slight slaps, it goes in a direction you don't like? slap it *Lightly*. There's definently another way, like with wild horse riding, but I didn't care too much back then.
But then another skill lord player learned how to ride them in a better way than my own method, he was extremely proficient in riding horses and other unique animals without saddles outside of
He said vague words like 'Become one with the animal (Non-sexually), guide the animal, and trust the animal'. The last part of the sentence was ignored, but the first two parts, others may not understand, but most skill lords use whatever mount they can find all the time, since over exertion could cause that 1hp of damage that makes you tip over the edge.
As such, I stole the knowledge from his streams and kept on trying to mimic it until it worked.
Pretty much, you need to understand a monster, and all that shit, it's really hard to explain. learn through failure if you want to get it, trail by fire style!
