The palace is unusually quiet compared to this morning. I go outside my room to see there are no more guards placed around.
I use the opportunity to run as far as I can towards the palace prison to see my Mother. I quickly hide when I see two maids passing by.
"I heard she's been taken outside the palace but no one knows what's going to happen to her."
"Everyone has gone to see, let's go too."
Does this mean, Mother is no longer in prison? I follow the maids, trying to go unnoticed as possible.
Now I know why the soldiers inside the palace are nowhere to be found, they are stopping the people from going towards someone. I squeeze my way to the front and see what the noise is all about.
Mother is kneeling on the dirty podium with her hands tied behind her. People are throwing stones, vegetables and other things at her while shouting foul words.
