After washing the sheets and rinsing them in clean water, it is time to dry them. Everyone has gone to eat since I said I'd handle spreading the sheets.
"Do you need help?"
I look towards the voice to see Evalyn.
"I'll be glad if you can help. I thought I'll be able to handle it alone."
Evalyn chuckles and helps me in spreading the sheets on the line.
"How are things going? I hope it's not too stressful working at the care home."
Evalyn asks as we straighten out the clothes on the line.
"It's nothing. It's more fun to help there than to stay in the guesthouse doing nothing."
Evalyn nods and smiles at my words. I clear my throat and prepare myself before talking.
"I know I won't be staying here for long and it's not my place to poke my nose in a matter that has nothing to do with me but..."
"One night a few days ago, I and Dexter saw some men bringing things in and out of the town hall."
