(From Axel's point of view)
I smirked as I watched Percy's miserable face through Cupcake's eyes when I had manipulated him. He had tried to attack Aana, and I just wanted him to kill Percy I didn't want to lead Aana into trouble but she was safe now. Too bad he got away, I thought. He would be devastated when he will have realized Aana and her friends were gone. And it was all thanks to Time, who had erased Aana's memories and made her think I was her childhood best friend.
Time: Hey, Axel, my boy. How are you doing, my dear? I heard you are planning to betray me. Why are you interfering with Oliver's mission to catch those nasty butterflies?
Axel: I don't know what you're talking about. I told you I would handle everything my way. Tell that bitchy Oliver to stay out of my way.
Time: Oh, I see. You don't understand. You saw how Percy is gaining powers. He is already a big threat to us. And Aana is his only weakness. Until she remembers her other powers and learns to control her fire, she could burn us all to ashes.
Axel: Time, time, time. You know everything that happened in this universe, but you still don't get it. Aana is his strength, not his weakness. He was fearless when he had her by his side. But now he will be in trouble. You may be Time, but you don't know the old trick of divide and rule. I've already divided them.
Time: So, when are you going to kill her and give Percy a big trauma?
Axel: What if I never let her regain her memories? What if I slay Percy before he reveals to her the truth of their past and makes her forget the love they shared in every timeline? What if I claim her as mine this time and shatter his soul with despair?
Time: Hmph (mocking his delusion). This time, you say? Don't you know they are bound by fate? If you don't end her life soon, she will awaken all her powers. She already has three out of five. When she unlocks the remaining two, she will be the doom of us all. And Percy is no less of a threat. He is selfish and would sacrifice anything to protect himself and his beloved. But she is selfless and would risk her own life for any living being. That's why I say, just kill her. She is too meddlesome and curious for her good.
Axel: I understand, Time. But this time is different. We never met like this in any other timeline. She never trusted me in any other timeline. This time, she believes in me. You have made her think that I was part of her childhood. This time, we have a chance to win. Just make sure that Oliver doesn't interfere. If he does, I will show him no mercy.
Time: This life is like a chess game, Axel. The world and I are the players, and you are the king I move. I admire your confidence but don't underestimate her. She can easily overturn the whole game. And don't let the puppy sniff them out. If he does, he will lead Percy to Aana.
I turned around and saw Oliver walking towards us. He was the most hated person in the facility, but not as much as I hated Percy. Percy was my nemesis, the source of all my misery. I hated him with every fibre of my being.
"Hey, Time, you called for me?" Oliver said, glancing at his watch. He ignored me as usual, but I didn't care. I wanted nothing to do with him.
"Yes, of course. Come here," Time said, gesturing to him. He looked at me and said, "You can go now. I'll talk to you later."
I nodded and left them alone. I didn't want to hear their evil plans. I knew they were up to no good.
(Dr Oliver de Woods' POV)
Oliver: "So, what did you call me for? And what did you tell that son of a bitch Axel?"
Time: "Oliver, Oliver, Oliver. Don't say that. He's on our side, dude. And don't forget, he's the one who let you be the best doctor and scientist because he didn't care about the accolades."
Oliver: "Yeah, like I do care. The virus was solely my creation and I'm the one who's protecting the time stone. And yet you tell me that..."
Time: "OK, fine. Just do as I say now. You have to kill them, right? Create a lion mutant first and then you know what you gotta do for God's sake, and never let Axel know that and you have to kill only Percy otherwise Axel will betray us ."
Oliver: I smirked and said, "Of course, I know." Time left and I followed him out of the room. The commandos guarding the door saluted me as I passed by. I entered my lab and saw many plants and animals that I had kept for my research. I put on my coat and gloves and decided to mutate the lion as he said.
