Chapter 10 - PART 4

Later in the evening Mercy and Thomas came home. They went to that room to refresh themselves and then come down. Thomas came to the sitting room to watch some news on the TV while Mercy went to the kitchen to prepare some dinner.

" I was thinking and I was wondering, how come you didn't call any of your friends when things went down?" Thomas asked as we having dinner.

"Well, I would have if I had friends," I replied

"What do you mean you would have if you had friends? You don't have them?" Mercy asked

"Yep, no friends. Well, I actually had them but they left me. Told me that I was a burden and the threats to them something like that and they were threatened by that madman that was stalking us so they decided to cut our friendship. If they really were my friends, they would have had my back and at least told me about it. Maybe I would have helped them and protected them, I might be lying there but we would have figured out something." I explained

" I guess things happen for a reason. I'm sure you will have friends soon. You'll make new friends, don't worry." Thomas reassured me

"Thank you for the assurance," I said as I smiled at them.

"What about you Grey, do you have any friends?" Mercy asked Grey.

"Yes I have friends!" he replied.

"Who are they?"

" Nancy is my friend, you are my friend, Tommy is my friend and Tiffany is my best friend!" he replied

"Oh, that's so sweet. Tell me is Tommy your friend too huh," she said as she looked at

Thomas smugly

We all laughed. We finished dinner and then went to bed. I put Grey to sleep then I went to my room. Sitting on my and bed looking at the ceiling I thought about what had been happening this past week. It's been all a headache that we nearly lost our lives. It's strange, really strange how things never seem to get in my way, everything goes wrong and I never have a peaceful day. I got people fighting me, I got stalkers and my mom and dad still think that I'm a troublemaker. Maybe this time they will understand that it is not me who is the problem the world is the problem. I am trying to live a peaceful life and a happy life but the world doesn't seem to want me to have that. Eventually dozed off as I was thinking.

The next day was Sunday and the Fords didn't have to go to work but they did have to go to church. They woke up early in the morning preparing for church. They did ask us if we wanted to go to church.

"Do you want to come with us to church Tiffany?" Thomas asked

"If that is okay I would love to," I replied

"Okay then let me just prepare Grey for church too. I should just wake him up in his room." Mercy does he went upstairs to Grey's room.

" I'm going to wash up," I told Thomas as I slowly went upstairs.

I quickly washed up and put on my best dress. Soon I was downstairs heading out with the Fords to church. We went to a nearby church and it was a fun experience. We came back when it was almost lunchtime

"Your mom and dad just called and they say that they are in the country. They should be here in an hour or two." Thomas said

"Okay. Thanks for having us. It meant a lot. I'm sure we'll be visiting." I replied with a smile.

"Sure," Mercy replied

We had pie and we watch TV while waiting for my mom and dad. They arrived an hour later.

Ding dong. " I'll go get that." Mercy said as she rose to get to the door. " Mr. and Mrs Johnson, welcome back. Please come in." Mercy motioned them to enter the house.

"Thank you very much Mercy," Mom replied as they entered the house.

"Mom!" Grey ran to Mom tackling her in a hug.

"Hello, my beautiful boy." Mom replied to him." I missed you so much."

" I miss you too Mom. I really really missed you. Where have you been?" he asked

"Work my dear boy. I'm back I won't be leaving soon," she said

I rose to get to Mom and Dad. "Mom, Dad," I said as I hugged both of them.

"Hey, there honey bear," Dad said

"Welcome."

"Thank you honey" they replied with a smile on their face.

"Please come home sit. Have some tea please." Mercy said

They came into the sitting room and sat on the couch. Mercy went to the kitchen to make some tea. Soon enough she came back, putting the tea on the coffee table with some cookies in a platter.

"Honey, I heard what happened. Are you two okay?" Mom asked

"We okay now Mom, thanks for mercy and Thomas. They took care of us." I replied with a smile on my face as I looked at Thomas and Mercy.

"Oh dear, it was our pleasure," Mercy replied

"Thank you so much for taking care of our kids. It means a lot like a lot. It just pains us that we weren't there when all of that happened. You could have lost your lives." Mom complained

"Mom, it's okay we did not lose our lives. You know since I'm there nothing can happen, right? I mean Daddy taught me well how to protect ourselves." I said as I smiled smugly at Dad.

" Well well well, proud dad," Dad said as he smirked. We all laughed. " on that note, I guess we should get home. Once again Mr. and Mrs. Ford thank you for keeping our children."

"It was our pleasure. Come anytime." come said.

I went to get our bags in our rooms then went back downstairs. We got in Mom and Dad's car finally heading home. Reaching home, it really looks like an abandoned warehouse. that cracked me up. I quickly went to the door opening it.

Yeah, it has dust inside. I couldn't even sit on anything for fear of getting dust all over me.

"Yeah, I guess we just have to pack and clean up," Mom said

"You mean unpack and clean up?" I said

" She means what she said," Dad replied

" What I asked in confusion.

" We're moving," he added

"Why? Not that I'm sad about it but I'm just wondering why." I said

"With all that has been happening and you being transferred from school, we thought it would be a good chance to start over." Mom explained,

"Trust me, if I had friends here I would have been mad but I'm glad maybe I'll get new friends now since the friends that I had didn't want me anyway," I said as I laughed.

" I'm glad you're okay with this," Dad said as Grey ran to the couch turning the TV on.

"Well, you're forgetting one person's consent." I looked at them while shrugging.

"Who?" he asked

" Grey of course!" I laughed.

"Ah!" they both laughed. "Okay, well Grey, are you in?" Dad asked Grey taking his attention.

"In for what?" he asked puzzled.

We all laughed at this. "That we are moving into a new house," Dad said

"Okay. Sure," he replied quickly putting his attention back on the TV.

I chuckled. "Well, then I just got to sort out my things in my room. I will go now. Bye," I said as I headed upstairs.

"Okay dear" Mom replied.

I quickly went upstairs to check on my things. I am pretty sure I can just pack my things tonight right or early in the morning and away. No need to hurry. I lay on my bed which pretty much had dust. I coughed up pretty badly and I caught up to make the bed. After making the bed I sucked on my desk on my laptop. Scrolling through social media I checked on things then I put on some music.

Lunch came Pretty quickly and Mom called me downstairs to have the meal. We had lunch then in the afternoon with some packing. We had an early dinner then we all went to bed to rest for the following day.
