"So, I've been meaning to ask... you guys were talking about magic earlier. Is that something common in this world?" Kai questioned Seraphina about a phrase he overheard that alluded to magic while he was listening to them.
"Oh, yes! Magic is deeply woven into the fabric of this realm. It's a fundamental part of our culture and everyday life." Seraphina added, as Kai's heart skipped a beat at the mention of magic. The fire of excitement burned within him, but he managed to keep his expression calm and composed.
"That sounds fascinating. Can you tell me more about it? How does it work?" The three sisters were finally questioned about it after their brother, who had never been interested in studying or other similar activities, noticed that they all appeared a little bewildered.
Although it was a good thing for them, they also felt that Kai was trying to change, so they made the decision to support him as much as they could in case he begins to open up to them more than the insulting idiot he had previously been.
"Well, magic is the manipulation of energy through incantations, spells, and gestures. It allows us to tap into the natural forces of the world and bend them to our will."
"It's incredible, Kai! With magic, we can conjure illusions, control elements, heal wounds, and so much more. The possibilities are endless."
Kai listened intently, his eyes gleaming with hidden curiosity. The thought of harnessing such power thrilled him, but he didn't want to reveal his inner excitement just yet.
"That's truly amazing. Are there different types of magic?"
The more he heard, the more he came to the conclusion that exploring this world and putting his previous ideas to the test might be the best course of action.
After all, it contained all of those ingredients, which opened the door to possibilities that even the most brilliant scientists had previously been unable to achieve.
"Absolutely! There are various branches of magic, each with its own specialization. Some practitioners focus on elemental magic, like controlling fire, water, earth, or air. Others delve into the arcane arts, unlocking ancient secrets and wielding incredible knowledge."
"And let's not forget about enchantments and potions. We can infuse objects with magical properties or brew elixirs with incredible effects."
"It's like living in a never-ending adventure, Kai. The possibilities are so vast, and the more we explore, the more we discover about ourselves and the world around us."
Kai's mind raced with thoughts of unlocking his own magical potential. The idea of mastering spells, wielding elemental forces, and embarking on incredible adventures overwhelmed him with excitement.
But he knew he had to bide his time and learn more before revealing his hidden desires.
Kai's eyes widened with wonder as he absorbed his sisters' words. The concept of magic fascinated him beyond measure.
It was as if a hidden door had been flung open, revealing a world of limitless possibilities. He couldn't contain the spark of excitement that glimmered in his gaze, but he managed to maintain a composed expression, not wanting to reveal the depths of his newfound interest just yet.
His sisters, however, couldn't help but notice Kai's transformation. Seraphina, perceptive as ever, observed the subtle shift in his demeanor.
A soft smile played on her lips, a mix of pride and joy. She had always believed in Kai's untapped potential, and now, it seemed, he was ready to embrace it.
Amara's eyes twinkled mischievously as she noticed the subtle flicker of excitement in Kai's gaze. She nudged him playfully with her elbow, unable to contain her own glee.
The prospect of sharing their magical world with Kai, their once disinterested brother, filled her with a sense of adventure and anticipation.
Eliana, always the empathetic one, gazed at Kai with a mixture of admiration and affection. She could sense his genuine interest and the happiness it brought him.
Her heart swelled with warmth, knowing that she would be able to share the things she had learned with her beloved big brother.
Kai took a moment to process the information he had just received. The concept of elemental magic intrigued him the most—controlling fire, water, earth, and air.
The thought of manipulating these natural forces and bending them to his will filled him with a sense of empowerment he had never experienced before.
"That sounds incredible!" Kai finally exclaimed, his voice tinged with a hint of awe. "To be able to control the elements, to shape the world around you—it's beyond anything I could have ever imagined."
Seraphina beamed at Kai's words. Her eyes shimmered with pride as she responded, "We're thrilled to see your interest, Kai. Magic has always been a part of our lives, and now, we can share it with you."
"Although we don't know what made you change this much, I am sure mother and father will be really thrilled to know about it too."
Amara couldn't contain her excitement any longer. She leaned closer to Kai, her voice filled with anticipation. "Imagine the adventures we'll embark on, Kai. The mysteries we'll uncover, the spells we'll cast, It's going to be a journey unlike anything you've ever experienced."
Eliana's smile radiated pure joy. She reached out and gently took Kai's hand in hers, her touch warm and reassuring. "We've always believed in you, big brother. And now, as we delve into the realms of magic, we'll create memories that will last a lifetime."
Kai couldn't help but feel a swell of happiness within him. The support and acceptance of his sisters gave him the courage to embrace this new path.
"But I had been wanting to ask all three of you for all this time. Why are you being so nice to me when I've been treating you guys so poorly for as long as I can remember, and now you look like you're happy with me like this?"
Kai noticed a change in Eliana's expression as he turned to face the other two and felt angry at his former self. Since these girls would only rot in a rural area like this if they stayed with him, his former self was also doing this with the intention of making them hate him.
"As long as you guys could have hated me and informed other brothers about my defects and uselessness, they would have taken you guys to a better place."
"A place better than this hell, where we are eating food that can hardly keep us alive as mortals, and where we are not eating any meat from dire beasts that can increase the strength of mana inside you girls."
They were all still grinning because they understood the motivation behind Kai's actions, so he turned to face them. It was another factor in why none of them believed they were lacking anything or were resentful of the things they had.
