This time I just had to tell Roxanne once before she took a seat at the chair in front of me instead of sitting on the floor.
The breakfast was Bread with meat soup. The soup was very tasty and the Bread was not bad.
"So where do you think we should look for a house?" I ask Roxanne while sipping the soup.
"Umm, it would be preferable to live in a Big city like Quratar or Imperial city, Master those two are the only big cities nearby" Roxanne replies while taking a bite of the Bread.
'But with Masters movement magic we can live anywhere and it won't be a problem'
I was a bit surprised that Roxanne used her thoughts to speak to me as Warp was a secret. I smiled at her while I also ate my Bread.
"We can visit the Imperial capital for some shopping, but I don't think we need to live there" I drip the bread in the soup and take a bite, "So that leaves us with Quratar. What do you think will be the price for renting a very big Mansion?" Seeing as there were not many people around our table I asked Roxanne.
"Although I don't know what the market price is in Quratar, usually if you rent a room for a year it's 10,000 to 30,000 nars. 50,000 nars is enough to rent a house in the suburbs. But I don't know about a Mansion it might even cost 100,000 nars" Roxanne replies.
So 1 to 3 gold for a room, 5 gold for a 2BHK house? It's still very cheap compared to if I live in this Hotel for a year.
'Even if it costs 10 Gold we have a lot of money so don't worry, we will rent a Big house for a year so that we don't need to change it for a while' I replied to her via my mind as I was drinking the soup.
"Yes , Master. You can leave cleaning, washing clothes and other chores to me" Roxanne said happily.
"Thank you, Roxanne" I replied with a smile.
This is the problem of the Medieval world, no Washing Machine. Here even the Magic is only offensive, how I wished there was a 'clean' spell.
Finishing our Breakfast, we headed towards the Adventurer's Guild. I had told Roxanne to bring the backpack with her as we might do some shopping.
The Adventurer's Guild was lively as ever. I went towards the notice board to look at the requests. Most of the Requests were about guarding a caravan or escorting someone.
"A one way trip to the Imperial Capital, any travelers?"
[Meira
I could see a beauty recruiting customers at a corner. She was a brown haired Elf who looked around 20 years old.
"You can go to Quratar from Imperial Capital right?" I asked Roxanne who was standing beside me.
"Yes Master, when I went to Quratar we stopped at the Imperial Capital, they are very close to each other. I am not sure if you can find someone to take you to Quratar from here but from the Imperial Capital you will definitely be able to find someone" Roxanne replied.
I looked around and there was no one else offering to take anyone anywhere except for that Elf.
"Hmm okay you wait here a while, I will come back and then we can go to Quratar" I spoke while looking at her.
"Okay, have a safe trip. I will wait for your return Master" Roxanne says while giving me a small bow.
I nod at her and remove her from my party. I then walk towards the Elf.
"How much will it cost?" I ask her directly.
Even though she is a beautiful Elf, I am a 'Man' now and I have Roxanne so I am not that affected by her looks. Or maybe it's because of her age? Who knows.
"The prevailing rate is 2 silver coins. A one way trip will cost you a silver coin" The Elf replied.
"Okay" I take out a silver coin from my coin pouch and give it to her. I can now see that there was another Man standing on the side, he must also be traveling to the city.
"Responding to the faith of companions, I have read the honesty of their hearts, Party Formation" The Elf reads a chant, and a Party Formation prompt materializes in my head. As I select 'yes' it disappears.
This was the first time I had heard the Party Formation chant and knew about a prompt coming to your head when you are invited to a party. I didn't know about this stuff as I have Incantation Omission activated all the time.
The party was formed because only the members of your own party can be teleported with you with teleport magic. She then casts Field Walk and a black door appears on the wall.
Seeing as how she was walking inside the door, I looked back towards Roxanne and saw her looking towards me giving me a smile. This is the first time I am leaving her alone after I bought her yesterday.
Casting away my thoughts I too step inside the door.
On the other side I came out inside a luxurious large building. The room was huge compared to the Vale Adventurer's guild. I was standing on the second floor and on the first floor there were 10 counters with lines of people queuing up. The Adventurer guild of Imperial city was on another level.
As I was looking around the Female Elf chanted the Party Formation spell again and another option to disband the party appeared in my head. The other guy nodded and left.
"Excuse me, Can you take me to Quratar from here, one way if possible?" I ask the Female Elf as I haven't disbanded the party yet.
"Yes, that will also be 1 silver" The Elf replies with a smile.
I take out a silver coin and give it to her. She casts Field Walk again.
Walking out of the portal, the Female Elf chants the spell again and this time I select Yes disbanding the party. She thanked me and I moved to a secluded corner.
The Adventurer's Guild of Quratar is a bit bigger than the one in Vale but still nothing compared to the Imperial City one. I moved my BPs from Exp related skills and Intelligence stat to MP. Then cast Wrap while mumbling Field Walk.
I walk through the Black door and safely come out inside the Vale Adventurer Guild. I look around and smile as I find Roxanne standing at the same position as I left her. I walk straight towards her.
"Welcome back" Roxanne bows a little.
"Let's go to Quratar" I cast Party Organization and add her into the party again.
"Yes, I'll accompany you" She replies with a smile.
I didn't feel any negative thoughts, most probably because of the extra BP added into MP stat or else a trip from Quratar to Vale might just drain me.
I cast Warp at a wall while mumbling Field Walk, and enter it.
As I got out of the portal I still didn't feel any negative thoughts. Well that's good or else I would have to use MP from my Wizard Bracelet.
I looked around and saw that there are 3 counters here.
"The Adventurer Guild of the Imperial City was way bigger than this" I said to Roxanne who came out of the portal after me.
"In Quratar, the labyrinth and the Explorer's Guild are in the center of the town. The Explorer's Guild is substantially bigger here" Roxanne explains to me.
"You have visited this city here before, right?" I asked Roxanne as we left the Adventurer's Guild.
"Yes, I came here to inspect the labyrinth once. Most of the Explorers come here to visit the Quratar's Labyrinth at least once" Roxanne replies with enthusiasm.
"Then I will count on you to be my guide" I told her while looking at the buildings. This is certainly a much more prosperous city than Vale.
"Yes certainly, please leave it to me" Roxanne answers with a smile and takes the lead.
Smiling, I too walked ahead while taking her soft hand in mine. It looked like we are a couple on a date. I could see her tail moving so she must also be in a good mood.
"Tell me what you know about the city" I ask Roxanne as we walk through the road surrounded by buildings.
"In the town of Quratar, the labyrinth is located in the center. In the towns with a labyrinth at the center, the streets radiate and extend out from there" Roxanne says while pointing ahead.
I could see that the direction in which we were moving, the road was getting narrower with the number of people increasing. We started walking towards the center of the town.
It also seems to be early morning here, so there must not be much time difference between Vale and Quratar.
Nearing downtown, there were many stores doing business with an open storefront on the first floor. There are fish markets, bakeries, hardware stores. This is the first time after coming to this world that I have seen proper ordinary stores and not street stalls.
As we get to the center of the town, there is a roundabout with a thick hill at its center. There are many streets stretching out from the town center, and there are shops lining both sides of the street.
"That is the entrance to the Quratar's Labyrinth" Roxanne points towards the hill at the center.
So that is Quratar's Labyrinth, one of the oldest known labyrinth with over 100 floors.
