Yet the cries that resounded were not Anubis's but Safa's screams of pain. Her body was engulfed in crimson flames, forcing her to retreat. Annoyed by the sight, she extinguished the crimson flames with her own black fire, simultaneously leveling the ground beneath her.
"It hurts, Milord. How dare you," she uttered, still in agony and indignation.
"If that's the case, then heed my words," Anubis replied.
But still, their connection remained incomplete, communication strained.
With both hands clasped before his eyes, Anubis sent roots from both sides to ensnare the demonic Safa, who was still recovering. The wooden restraints stretched far, encasing her within their grasp.
Safa struggled and attempted to break free, but the roots clung tighter, absorbing her energy to fuel their growth. Swiftly, they formed into a towering tree, reaching four to five meters in height, its leaves flourishing.
Yet, in a matter of seconds, it all crumbled, devoured by the black flames.
