Everyone fell silent after discerning Anubis's demeanor emanated from his eyes.
"Ahem, Aldric," Soran began, "there is another reason why I am here, and that is to replace your absence in this discussion. One could argue that I am more valuable than your current position as guild master."
With years of experience playing The Last Fantasy, Soran's knowledge and abilities couldn't be easily replaced, even by the guild master present in the room. While he was speaking from a player's perspective, there was no doubt that Soran had the capability to be the new guild master.
"Honestly, I may not be as smart as the Crown, but who cares?" Soran continued. "I'm here as a subordinate; I just need to follow his orders, and everything will be done."
