Flash Stab! is a basic skill from the Halberd Skill Tree, available to anyone just for 1 SP. Essentially, it involves swinging or thrusting a spear at a certain speed while dealing additional damage due to the charge required for activation.
The concept is similar to the cast time of magic-based attacks, although this is a physical type, but still categorized as that of a skill. Of course, normal swing or thrust of a weapon wouldn't be considered a skill just like that, which is why the concept of a skill is broader and more comprehensive.
Charge is required to provide the focal point that distinguishes a skill from a regular swing. This charge is then converted into raw power, often depicted with colorful visual effects and so on. Furthermore, in more advanced applications, a person's attribute stats and gear can also influence this Cast Time/Charge Time.
