After the dance, they returned to their table. Silivia was pretty embarrassed but shrugged it off.
It wasn't something to feel ashamed of.
He had to admit she was a great woman. Her body was very soft like jelly fish. She was very flexible.
He had spotted Aina. She wore a white dress which highlighted her beauty. Though he knew nothing about the two ladies next to her, he spotted three familiar faces.
Who else but the young masters of the Great families. They seemed to be trying out their luck for a dance.
The Walkers were moving around 'talking' to various figures. This wasn't just a birthday.
"A birthday is it...you said but its more like a place for making deals. Well it's none of my business. The only problem will be those jealous bastards." He said as he leaned back.
"They aren't a big problem for you to handle. They are just insecure men and mostly human. Don't tell me you are scared of them." Sheila asked in doubt.
"Don't get me wrong here. I mean they might try something stupid before I leave this place. I can smell this miles away. I hate this feeling." He replied with a sigh.
"Ooh. How so. Do you trust your intuition that much? Anyway that happens most of the times. Though one side ends up embarrassing itself. Let's hope you don't fall victim."
Nadia said in an icy tone. He was now used to her so he didn't take any offence.
He turned around. Aina approached them gracefully. They group noticed her.
"You sure enjoy yourself without inviting this lady." Her melodious voice rang out. Her voice was dangerous to men who weren't strong willed. It would put one in daze. "Am Aina Armstrong, its a pleasure to meet you."
Sheila raised an eyebrow at her. A gentle smile spread at the corners of her mouth. This young lady sure knew something about them.
"Hehe. The pleasure is ours. Afterall it's not everyday that you see a high ranked noble who will be the leader of the next generation." Sheila replied in a friendly tone. She liked her character.
Foxes were deceptive creatures by nature but this young lady was pretty honest.
"It seems you have something to explain after here, don't you think so." Aina asked Karl who was completely clueless.
'What is this woman talking about? Are you my wife or something?'
Seeing his weird face, they couldn't hold back their laughter. He was quite cute.
"Hey care to explain what. I don't remember doing anything that needs explanation. And so you know my life is pretty fucked up now. I have some 'people' to 'fix' after here." Karl said with a straight face.
They immediately stopped laughing and looked at him.
"By fixing people, what is that supposed to mean?" Aina asked. She couldn't help but glance at the six women. They noticed this but just waited for an explanation.
'Is this guy for real. Fixing people. Who are they? Don't tell me...' Sabina glanced at her sisters.
Seeing that everyone's imagination was running into different conclusions delving into the abyss, he snickered inside but kept a poker face.
"What, don't you see it already. They are busy eyeing me like candy. They really can't wait to devour me in pieces." He said 'helplessly'.
The ladies immediately picked up what he meant. Sorry for the poor noble lady whose gaze turned towards the mature women.
'Don't tell me it's their plan. But they can't do something like that. Or else...he sure likes joking.'
"I nearly fell for it. You should take on a comedy role." She said taking a deep breath.
"No thanks. I think I will pass. It took you a while to figure out." He said.
"Is it a compliment or something. You might get yourself killed with that mouth of yours." She said in irritation.
"Hehe. Praise me more. I didn't know my mouth is that powerful."
"You guys look like a couple. You act like one. Can you make it real." Naira said.
"I didn't know you were a match maker but it's a good idea I think I will consider it." He said with a nod. He turned to Aina. "It will be cool you know."
She was getting more irritated here. But she didn't hate it. Sigh.
"Seems like you ran away from something or should I say someone." Sheila said. She was already in the know of what had happened.
"Bingo. Nothing can escape, huh. Anyway those guys think too highly of themselves which makes me feel sick. They gave me a good excuse to leave though. It was pretty boring." Aina said and glanced back at her seat.
"I hate dealing with this political bullshit. Everyone is now full of fake smiles and shaddy schemes."
"You have to get used to it. It won't stop anytime soon given your status in question." Sheila said.
"You are curious as to why we are here, right." She said sipping her wine. Aina nodded. That was one of the reasons she was here.
"Alright, it won't harm to tell anyway. It's really simple that you can't believe it." Silivia paused. "We don't care about the power struggle among your families. We just wanted him to experience the power structure of this world. You might not know but there are many strong supernaturals here than any of you can imagine."
"The benefits of being in such a place are numerous. You can get used to their presence that at some point you will never be affected by it. Another thing is..." Naira paused.
"It will be beneficial for him if he encounters one of them in the future. He will not be clueless." Naida said.
"Our presence in this place might cause an uproar. Some might think we support the Walker family but we are neutral." Nadia spoke calmly.
"So you get it now. This should have paused a burden on you. You are the young lady of the Armstrong so it's understandable. Though you must always think of yourself first before anything." Sabina said.
Hearing all this, he was inwardly shocked. These women had thought way ahead of things. 'A birthday is it...now this.'
He couldn't say he wasn't moved. They weren't very close for them to help him. He knew there was no free lunch in this cruel world but one had to take risks.
Aina was the most shocked here. She couldn't believe it. These existences even her family couldn't dare to go against came here just because of his 'growth'.
"If that's the case then it won't hurt to walk around with him right." She asked. She also wanted to meet up some people. This 'party' was about building connections afterall.
Naturally they were not against it. But they never had the intention of joining.
Karl and Aina turned around and walked away. The main hall was very big. He looked around in awe. This was his first time at parties this luxurious.
