Chapter 48 - First attack

At 7:43 pm, outskirts of Newyork City. A base can be spotted. People can be seen walking around. Others are spotted at fire places enjoying themselves. Laughters filled the air as they enjoyed wine. They were mostly men as few women could be spotted around.

This was one of the bases owned by William. Given his connections with the high ups in government this was to be expected. Many Espers could be seen everywhere. They were fully geared in their combat outfits. From the looks of it, they seemed prepared for something.

'He sure recruited strong Espers, befitting a drug lord. Unfortunately they are not a match for supernaturals. Let's observe for a while.'

High above the sky, he thought as he gazed at the ground. He wanted to see how the supernatural fought. Which way better than watching how his teammates fought. These are elite Vampires we are talking about. Vampires are known for their strength and speed.

He tilted his head slightly. Karl spotted a group of 6 figures clad in black approaching the base at extremely high speed. They left after images wherever they passed.

It didn't take long for them to reach the base undetected. They split into three. Their speed was in no way inferior to each other. They managed to avoid the security lights and invaded the base.

Karl could clearly see their pale faces which were unmasked. Clearly they were Vampires. They were all very beautiful. Strangely there was no male.

One of them with blonde hair quietly approached a group of 4 men. They were chatting and laughing not knowing the danger that awaited them.

Crack

She immediately cracked one's neck and before they could react, she threw him towards the other with inhuman strength. The dead body crashed into him and exploded. Immediately she disappeared and appeared a distance from them.

Their eyes widened in surprise. They couldn't react to her speed. Everything happened in a blink of an eye. Their heads slide off their bodies leaving a gust of blood in air.

Her long sharp nails were completely clean though she used them clip off their heads.

The same scene happened in numerous tents. Karl was inwardly shocked by this. They acted swiftly without alerting the enemy. This requires a high level of coordination to achieve.

"Have you seen engaged." Mia's soothing voice reached his ears. The pale skinned beauty appeared beside him.

She was dressed in a tight black lather outfit which held her curves tightly. Her beautiful propositions were exposed for the world to see. Her big breats didn't do justice to the dress as they threatened to pop out.

Karl glanced at her and secretly nodded in appreciation. She was a very beautiful woman. This was a common trait in the creatures of the night since they were predators.

"I don't doubt they can easily deal with this base without my help. Their level of team work is just monstrous." Karl said in admiration. It was difficult to spot them as they blured here and there.

"They were trained to be the best of the best. My Mistress trained them with that in mind. Humans are really no match for us if not ganging up. Their weak bodies can't stand a chance. Vampires are natural predators with sharp senses which are enhanced beyond human level so we can easily locate them through their scent however much they try to hide." She said softly. She was just stating the bitter truth about humanity.

He couldn't deny her words. Humans were the weakest race.

The slaughter continued. Bodies exploded as they were brutally smashed.

Blood flowed like a river. Alarms were sounded as soon as the men spotted large pools of blood. Screams filled the air as they could fill their bodies being torn apart. The base fell into chaos.

Bang Bang!!!

Gun shots resounded. Screams commenced. Body parts flew. Armed men ran around like dogs. The scene was very gruesome.

They just fired bullets everywhere. Everyone who tried to escape from the base was quickly dealt with. Before the attack, communication was first cut off to block the reinforcements from being summoned.

A transparent barrier completely enclosed the base.

However much they screamed, nothing went out of the barrier.

"What a master piece, don't you think so." She looked at the scene and smiled.

Karl felt a chill run down his spine. Her predatory smile was scary. Her fangs were out as she smiled. Her gestures were very seductive.

"Since here is done I will head for the next location." He said and shot North leaving a golden trail behind.

"Tsk. Coward." She said. Her team was doing the work well so far.

'Huh.'

Mia tilted her head towards the city. A figure was approaching her location at a high speed.

She disappeared and appeared 50 meters from him. He was an old man with white hair. He looked to be in his 60s.

"What business do you have here?" She asked coldly and stared at him sharply.

The man looked at the breathtaking beauty blocking his path calmly. She gave off a dangerous vibe but he wasn't a weakling. He has lived long enough, he was completely unfazed.

"Just move out of the way young girl. This is none of your business." He said. But urgency could be spotted in his words. The base was under an attack and they needed his presence urgently. He couldn't afford to reach late. His boss was already out of his mind now.

Mia's face twisted slightly. Being called young by someone way younger than her wasn't pleasant at all. She had already understood his destination from his composure and expression so she didn't need to waste her time any longer.

Duo daggers appeared in her hands. Wind blew her long hair slightly. The moon light shone illuminating her pale skin. She looked liked a Goddess out of the fairytale.

He didn't stay idle either. He held his Katana skillfully.

Both disappeared. They clashed and sparks flew everywhere. They moved at a lightning speed slashing towards each other.

Sonic booms resounded. They moved at astonishing speeds. They kicked, dodged, slashed and punched. After images could be seen wherever they appeared.

They separated. He was breathing unevenly. Several deep cuts could be spotted on his body.

Mia was totally fine. She appeared unfazed. Clearly she wasn't taking this fight seriously. Her intention was to gauge his limits and she seemed to get her answer.

"Tsk. Pathetic. I thought I would have a decent fight but guess what. Its a disappointment. Lets end this shall we." She disappeared.

His eyes widened in shock. Her speed already exceed what she showed. He brought his katana infront to block but....

Clung Booom!!!

It shattered into bits. His body shot downwards from the sky at the speed of sound and exploded as soon as it reached the ground.

Mia glanced at it coldly and disappeared.

She appeared in the sky above the base where the slaughter was still ongoing. The Vampires didn't bat an eye as they killed one by one. These men had performed vicious acts on young girls and women so no mercy was shown.

She pulled out her phone....
