Chapter 52 - The Dawn of Antiquity: The Arrival of the Dark God - Chapter Fifty-Two

Our initial patrol day went without a hitch, as we only encountered a handful of travelers intermittently on our journey. After establishing our campsite, the crew proceeded to prepare for the night. I was scheduled to take the first watch alongside my two patrol companions, Festinia and Ausonia. The stars were shining brightly tonight, and I kept a vigilant eye on the surrounding area. We had camped a few yards from the Imperial Highway in case any travelers needed assistance. I couldn't help but notice the two young recruits standing guard with me. They were both barely out of their teens and looked scared out of their minds.
