As the last gladiator drops to the ground, there's a split second of quiet moments before the crowd explodes into a series of hoots and hollers, their voices filling the arena with a festive cacophony. Our victory was seemingly impossible as the public began shouting.

Suddenly, distinct voices arise from within the crowds as if overshadowing the chanting of the entire Grand Colosseum.

"Herois Victor! Herois Victor! Herois Victor! Herois Victor!" the voices chant over and over, "Herois Victor! Herois Victor!"

Within seconds, the crowd of tens of hundreds of thousands unanimously erupted into a deafening chorus of cheers and applause as the brute lay motionless on the ground, the sheer force of my hammer strike having ended the fight for a second time. The chant is repeated by hundreds of thousands of onlookers. The feeling I felt was exhilarating and intoxicating. I now knew what Roman gladiators from the humanities past must have felt thousands of years ago.
