During my initial induction into the esteemed Hasta town militia, the highly experienced Captain Kalf took me under his wing and meticulously outlined my duties. As a member of the militia, I am entrusted with the critical task of patrolling both the West and East sides of the Imperial Highway. Regrettably, there has been a noticeable surge in the frequency of robberies and assaults on the Highway, which can be attributed to the augmented presence of the Imperial Army and Legion in the area. That was counter to a decrease that should have occurred. Due to the need for increased security measures, the town chief decided to extend patrols to the neighboring cities of Pons Aelii and Storgozia. In order to effectively cover the expanded area, the town of Hasta was chosen as the midpoint between the two cities.
