As the days passed, three days later, the team completed their preparations, knowing all too well that the upcoming battle with the formidable zombies would require utmost caution, unlike their previous encounter with the winter threat.
Their strategy involved employing helicopters to draw the zombies to an open plain where waiting tanks would engage them. However, they were aware that not all zombies would be lured by this tactic. To deal with the remaining ones, Jana and her team bravely volunteered to take on the task. Their bravery was praised, but Souta didn't allow this and send reinforcement to help her. Together with the Souta and the others, they would swiftly eliminate the remaining zombies, as the timer was only nine days left.
The city echoed with the deafening sounds of helicopters hovering in the sky, each team strategically luring the zombies in directions where the tanks are. The soldiers were tense, fully aware that every decision could mean life or death. In the midst of the chaos, an unexpected encounter took place between the two groups.
As the soldier from Souta's team pointed out the approaching helicopters, confusion and suspicion spread among them.
one of the soldier that are in the helicopters, "Hey, did they send us reinforcement or something?" he asked
"Huh? no, we're the only ones who came using helicopters. Why?" his teammate said
"Then... what's that?" he pointed
Another squad of helicopters is suddenly near them and is also luring the zombies, but in the opposite direction, when the two teams notice that they are not the reinforcement, Souta's team quickly report this.
They quickly realized that the other group was not a reinforcement but another faction with the same objective.
"Sir! Sir! we have a problem. It seems like there's another group trying to do the same as we're doing," he reported before they can respond. Tensions escalated, and before they could comprehend the situation, shots were fired, and the battleground turned into a fierce clash.
"This is your air commander speaking, retreat! I repeat! retreat!" They quickly dispatched reinforcement, though the air unit won't get in time the tanks pointed their tube and fire surprisingly the other base did the same breaking the two squad of helicopters.
"Evacuate, now!!" They jump their helicopters. They have parachutes with them, so they are safe, but the other base has the same idea as well, so while in parachute, they are firing at each other, causing dozens of injury in both sides.
As the reinforcements finally arrived to pick up the injured, the teams regrouped, and a momentary quiet settled over the once bustling city. However, it was short-lived as both sides, employing eerily similar tactics, deployed smoke bombs to conceal their retreat.
Souta, Rex, and Roger gathered to strategize their next move, realizing that the enemy seemed to be imitating their every step. Suspicion clouded their judgment, but they knew they couldn't let it dictate their actions.
"It's as if they are copying our movement," Rex said
"It's not possible for them to copy whatever we do because it takes time to quickly do it without preparations." Roger said
"..., send scouts first, tell Jana and her group to stand by for now, don't rush," Souta commanded.
With a mix of stealth and teamwork, they advanced, narrowing in on the enemy's position. Unexpectedly, they came across the enemy scouts, leading to an intense confrontation. The tension was palpable as [ As predicted, the other base also sends scouts ] said by one of the scouts using a walkie-talkie, confirming their suspicion that the enemy was indeed mirroring their movements.
With a smirk, Souta gave the order to fire the artillery, expertly turning the tables. The enemy's scouts retreated and were covered by the enemies artillery, but instead of firing on the scouts, they fired directly on their place, the reason why the enemy knew where Souta are is because of the artillery they fired.
"We got lured, huh?" Said Souta with a smirk, "Fire the anti artillery,"
The calculated move lured the zombies into the fray, forming a menacing horde that attacked both factions. Chaos ensued as the enemy retreated, leaving Souta and his team to navigate the deadly onslaught.
The battlefield became a battleground of wits and survival, with soldiers showcasing their modern warfare skills - precise marksmanship, tactical maneuvers, and resourceful use of equipment. The tension built with each encounter, every decision made under immense pressure, and the constant threat of the relentless undead horde.
The fight scene intensified with explosions, gunfire, and the constant struggle for survival. Both sides pushed their limits, showcasing the grit and determination that modern warfare demands. The air was filled with the acrid scent of gunpowder, and the ground trembled with every explosion.
Throughout the conflict, Souta's leadership shone brightly, guiding his team through the chaos and uncertainty. Their camaraderie and adaptability were put to the test as they faced not only the zombies but also a rival faction keen on undermining their mission.
As the battle raged on, the line between friend and foe blurred, making it increasingly challenging to identify the true enemy. But in the end, the enemy retreated, giving Souta the city, though the enemy is still a mystery that doesn't mean that they can just ignore it, the tactics their move it's the same as what we do.
The aftermath of the battle left the city eerily quiet, yet the mystery of the opposing faction lingered in the air. The blurred lines between friend and foe left Souta's team on edge, questioning the possibility of a spy within their ranks. However, they knew they couldn't dwell on that now; their priority was to clear the city of any remaining threats.
Jana and her team diligently carried out their task, while Souta's military forces provided support, working together to eliminate any lingering zombies. The city that was once overrun by the undead now resembled a pool of blood and decaying bodies, a grim reminder of the fierce battle that took place.
The stench of blood and gunpowder filled the air, serving as a haunting testament to the horrors they faced. The team couldn't afford to let their guard down, as the enemy's tactics mirrored their own. The thought of a potential spy still gnawed at their minds, but they knew they must first secure the city before delving deeper into that possibility.
As they continued their efforts, Souta's leadership remained unwavering, guiding his team through the grim aftermath of the battle. Together, they demonstrated resilience and determination, not allowing the horrors they witnessed to cloud their focus.
Once the city was finally cleared, Souta and his team regrouped to assess their next move. The mystery of the enemy faction weighed heavily on their minds, and they knew they couldn't let their guard down. With their task in the city completed, they would now need to investigate the source of the information leak and the possibility of a spy.
Together with Zack and the other officials, we planned the fortress.
The plans:
With the assistance of the advanced system capable of providing any materials and building with just one press, we can further enhance the fortress's capabilities for a zombie apocalypse.
Automated Defense Systems Integrate automated turrets and robotic defenders equipped with AI to actively patrol the perimeter and neutralize zombie threats. This would provide an additional layer of protection, especially during night hours.
Biohazard Containment Measure Implement a dedicated biohazard containment system that can swiftly isolate and eliminate infected areas, preventing the spread of the zombie virus within the fortress.
Energy Independence Utilize renewable energy sources like solar panels and wind turbines to power the fortress. This would ensure energy independence during extended periods of isolation.
Vertical Farming Design vertical farming systems within the fortress to produce a sustainable food supply. This would reduce the reliance on external resources and support occupants during prolonged sieges.
Secure Communication Network Establish a secure communication network within the fortress, enabling seamless coordination and information exchange among the defense force and occupants.
8Escape Routes and Reinforcements Create hidden underground tunnels that serve as escape routes and also facilitate the arrival of reinforcements during critical situations.
Zombie Behavior Study Use the system to simulate zombie behavior and anticipate potential attack patterns. This knowledge will aid in fortifying weak points and strategizing effective defense maneuvers.
Safe Zone Decoy Implement a sophisticated safe zone decoy system to divert zombies away from the actual entrance points and confuse potential threats.
