At night, Steff made her way to Souta's office inside the mansion, holding a piece of report from the scouts they had sent out.
"Got the reports you wanted," she said, handing over the papers.
Souta took the reports with a nod and spread them out on his table. The map showed every detail surrounding the town, from the safest routes to the ones filled with zombies and the towns with dangerous or non-hostile people.
"Excellent work, as always," Souta complimented, studying the map intently. "Now, how are Roger and Rex doing with the preparations?"
Steff answered, "They're both saying they're ready whenever you give the word."
Souta chuckled. "Typical of those two to be all gung-ho."
He glanced at the radio for a moment before making a decision. "We won't wait for the supplies to drop; we move tomorrow. Troops will be on standby in each town, waiting for the supplies, while waiting take the chance that zombies are still weak and loot the town, take as many as they can, cars, food, water, materials everything. We'll also try to convince the unhostile groups to join us, but for the hostile ones, you know what to do."
Steff nodded in understanding. "Understood."
Feeling the exhaustion creeping in, Souta stretched his arms. Steff showed concern, "Hey, Souta... you should get some rest, it's already midnight." However, he turned the tables on her playfully.
"And you? Aren't you the one who should be resting?" Souta teased, cupping her face and leaning in for a kiss.
Steff smiled, the tension of the situation momentarily forgotten. "Well, I suppose I can stay up a little longer."
Encouraged by his response, she playfully removed her clothes, their unspoken desire evident in the air.
"Care to help me sleep?" Souta whispered seductively.
Steff couldn't resist his charm. "My pleasure," she replied with a sly grin.
Their actions spoke louder than words, expressing the bond they shared amidst the chaos of their mission. With the weight of their responsibilities, finding solace in each other brought a brief moment of respite.
As the sun rose on the next day, Souta and his military gathered, ready for the daunting mission ahead. They are divided into three distinct categories: Humans, Zombies, and Raiders, each facing their own set of challenges.
Leading the group for convincing unhostile groups to join their cause was Shana, a police chief known for her unwavering commitment to justice. Her charisma and negotiation skills made her the perfect candidate for this crucial task.
For dealing with the zombie-infested town, Amy took the lead, commanding a skilled group of archers. Their prowess with the bow made them a formidable force against the weakened zombie hordes, clearing the way for the rest of the team.
The third category, dealing with the hostile groups, was led by none other than Souta himself. Alongside him were his trusted companions Rex, Roger, and Jana. They were the ones chosen to confront the four hostile groups from the ten towns, relying on their tactical expertise and combat prowess.
With their teams organized and roles assigned, the expedition began. The tension in the air was palpable as they set out on their respective paths, each aware of the dangers they were about to face.
In a week, they made it to their destination. Each team did what they had to do, and Shana visited the group of survivors and told them what they would gain for joining them, protection, clothes, safe shelter, food, water, medicines etc of course this is a good opportunity for them and made it look that they don't have any other choice but to accept.
On the other hand, Amy deals with the zombies. The zombies seem to stick into one place for them to keep themselves warm with this it was much easier for them to kill all the zombies at once, going building to building using ropes and find the perfect spot to kill the zombies they fire hundreds of arrows in minutes killing all the zombies, for protection they also move by small groups to loot the whole town.
As for Roger, he assasinate the raider's leader and completely surround them, making them submit to him, as for Rex, he attack them in the night, killing everyone who doesn't surrender, Jana and her group also went smoothly exterminating the raiders group.
Amidst the chaos, we found ourselves unexpectedly surrounded by a ruthless gang of raiders. The reason behind this unforeseen situation traced back to a critical mistake we made upon arriving in the town. Unbeknownst to us, the town's CCTV system was operational, and our arrival had been promptly relayed to the raiders, prompting an immediate and aggressive response.
Realizing the gravity of the situation, we hastily set up a makeshift base to strategize our plan of action. Little did we know that time was not on our side, and before we could formulate a concrete strategy, the raiders were upon us, launching a relentless attack.
The battle erupted with thunderous gunfire, and bullets whizzed through the air like deadly hornets. Despite the chaos, our training and coordination paid off, and we skillfully held our ground. The raiders soon realized that they were up against a formidable and well-trained opponent. As the smoke cleared, we had inflicted heavy casualties upon the raiders without suffering any losses of our own.
But the fight was far from over. The raiders, fueled by desperation and anger, decided to bring out the big guns. A menacing barrage of heavy machine gun fire rained down upon us, forcing us to seek cover and regroup. The ground shook beneath the onslaught as dust and debris filled the air.
In the midst of the turmoil, a tense silence fell upon the battleground. Suddenly, a sharp crack resonated from a distant rooftop, and the raider operating the machine gun fell lifeless. A skilled sniper had joined the fray, their deadly precision sending shockwaves of fear through the raider ranks.
"Sniper! Take cover!" one of the raiders yelled, his voice trembling with panic. The raiders found themselves trapped between our relentless assault and the lurking menace on the rooftop. Fear crept into their hearts, and their once confident facade began to crumble.
Seizing this opportunity, we launched a counterattack with renewed ferocity. Souta and his team moved with calculated speed and ruthless efficiency. The raiders' resistance faltered, and their formation broke under the overwhelming pressure.
From building to building, the intense battle continued, with gunfire echoing through the deserted streets. The raiders' numbers dwindled as we systematically picked them off one by one. Each confrontation was a fierce and desperate struggle, with lives hanging in the balance.
The tension in the air was palpable, adrenaline coursing through our veins as we fought for survival. Our skills were put to the ultimate test, and every move we made was crucial in determining the outcome of the battle.
Finally, as the last echoes of gunfire faded, we stood victorious. The once menacing raiders lay defeated, and the town fell silent once more. But there was no time to celebrate; we knew that more dangers lurked in the shadows.
We took a moment to catch our breath, grateful for each other's courage and skill. The fight had been intense, though it's still unknown to us who is the one who is the sniper on the rooftop.
