Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Going To The Town

They agreed to go to the town to see what was really happening. If Souta's claim about the apocalypse was true, they would allow him to take anything he wanted from the farm. They hopped into a pickup truck and drove toward the town.

After a few hours, they finally arrived at the town. The sight left them bewildered and confused. "What's going on? There's a fire there. Why hasn't anyone come to stop it?" the boy exclaimed, but his sister remained silent.

they continue to that they already drive past thru the Gas Station

they didn't go to the town they just go nearby houses

They decided to explore the nearby houses before heading into the town. Exiting the car, they proceeded cautiously. "Be careful," warned Souta. "Once you've been bitten, it's over." The boy and his sister trembled in fear.

Souta kicked open the door of one house, only to be greeted by a swarm of zombies pouring out. With swift movements, Souta killed them all and left one behind he  severed their limbs, but the zombie still moved. "See? I told you, this isn't the world you used to know anymore," Souta explained, piercing it's head to finally put them down.

The siblings were forced to confront the harsh reality. Pressure, fear, and cold sweat enveloped them. Overwhelmed, they both vomited, their stomachs churning.

Souta instructed Lily to try killing a zombie, and she swung an axe, smashing its head. The brain and blood of the zombie scattered around. "Alright, let's loot these  house now," Souta declared.

"Steff, Amy, stay and protect these two," Souta instructed, allowing the girls to practice killing zombies. Amy used her bow to shoot them, Steff used her military knives, and Lily swung her axe. Meanwhile, Nana guarded the group from the pickup truck, shooting zombies that approached.

Souta also decided to loot the gas station while they are it. After hours of looting, they only found a working car. As it was already noon, they decided to head back to the mansion. Steff drove the second car, and silence enveloped the two siblings.

Arriving at the mansion, they prepared dinner, but the siblings had lost their appetite after witnessing human organs. Souta allowed them to sleep early, awaiting their answers the next day.

The following morning, after Souta and the others finished their morning jog, the siblings appeared. "We'll let you take anything you want from the farm if you let us join you," the boy said.

That's a dejavu statement there, Souta thought to himself. Souta then questioned their abilities. "Why? What can you do?" he asked.

"We can take care of the animals and plant some vegetables," the girl replied.

Considering their offer, Souta agreed to let them join. "Alright, after breakfast, we'll move everything from the farm here," he announced. Taking care of the animals at the farm would be inconvenient, requiring constant trips. It was more efficient to relocate them to the mansion.

The mansion is big enough and have space for the animals and crops to grow, Souta has a future plan if they ever need space.

After breakfast, they went to the farm, searching for anything useful and preparing the animals for transport. Pigs, chickens, goats, and cows were rounded up, and they also brought a tractor and a pickup truck. Additionally, they found a shotgun and a pistol that had belonged to their grandparents. Discovering that the old man they had encountered earlier was their grandfather, they buried his body during their return to the farm.

Over the course of three days, they thoroughly looted the farm, bringing back all useful items. They placed the animals in the backyard and replaced the flower garden with vegetables. After a week of hard work, they were finally finished. "Thank God we're done," Amy sighed.

The boy's name

was Andy, and his sister was Jenny. They joined the group's training sessions. Andy wielded an axe and a shotgun, Jenny use a knife and a pistol.

With seven people in the group, their food supplies were running low. They decided to loot the convenience stores in the town the following day. Steff, Amy, and Nana were chosen for the mission, while Andy and Jenny stayed behind, guarded by Lily in case of emergencies.

They drove towards the town, but before reaching the convenience store, they decided to loot some houses they had missed earlier. Being more skilled now, they quickly ransacked ten houses, finding only food.

Finally, they approached the convenience store, which had already been looted by others. The broken door greeted them, and over ten zombies emerged. They engaged in a battle, with Amy using her bow to shoot the zombies in the head, Steff stabbing them, and Nana providing support from the pickup truck.

Once the zombies were eliminated, they began looting the store. Souta explored the counter area, discovering medicines that would prove useful in the future. He ignored the money, realizing it held no value in this new world.

After an hour of looting, they heard a loud explosion nearby, attracting more zombies. Urgently, Souta and Lily fought off the approaching horde, while the rest continued looting.

Something weird happened that Souta and Lily noticed, those zombies approaching some of them walk towards them and some of them came rushing.

When the danger passed, they regrouped, exhausted and in need of a break.

Following an hour of rest, they noticed more zombies approaching. Realizing they had to leave, Souta commanded them to get in the car.

"Get in the car! Hurry!"

Souta got in the car and drive away from the town, though those running zombies still made their way to ours, rushing towards us without exhaustion.

They fought their way through the zombies, with Amy and Steff eliminating those that got too close.

As they made their way out of town, they encountered a problem. The car stopped abruptly, hindered by bodies stuck in the wheel. Souta shouted for them to exit the car and eliminate the surrounding zombies.

"We have no other choice then, let's kill these fckers"

Nearly twenty zombies surrounded them, and they fought for God knows how long their exhaustion growing.

what they did was they first killed the one who can run, those who can run are only 5 or so.

After killing those who can run,

Lily shot two with her gun thou it was jammed "Dammit", while Amy shot one with her bow.

Leaving three left behind, Souta faced the two while Steff was the one who will face the other one left, Souta stab the one who came first on the head, taking out his katana and sliced the one left.

Steff on the other hand wait for the zombie to came rushing to her then easily throw her knife into his head.

After that they then  easily kill those leftover Lily also get down to help, but after killing many zombies they began to get exhausted while those zombies keep coming non-stop.

Souta began to take counter measures because there are still some zombies around, as they kill and kill and desperately trying to survive.

Souta bring out the rifle that was in the car and shoot the zombies but Shooting a gun was not easy, he can't shoot all the zombies because using the rifle was hard it's his first-time after all.

Amy and Steff began using their pistol to help Souta kill all the zombies, they were double thinking if using the pistol are the right thing

Because they want to use it for emergency but this is an emergency, so after shooting all the zombies in their head.

"Thank god finally some rest, I'm exhausted" Amy complained

Souta wiped the sweat from his brow, panting heavily. "Hah hah hah, that was exhausting."

Amy managed a tired chuckle. "Hah hah, you're right, haha. At least we're alive."

Steff nodded, looking around warily. "Hah hah hah, we should probably get out of here."

Souta turned his attention to Lily, concern in his eyes. "Are you okay, Lily?"

"Hah hah hah, don't worry... I'm okay," Lily replied, trying to catch her breath.

They gathered around the car, their eyes scanning the surroundings for any sign of danger. Souta inspected the wheel, and his guess was confirmed – it was blocked by the bodies of the zombies they had hit earlier.

"Looks like the zombies jammed the wheel," Souta said, frustration evident in his voice.

Amy pitched in, "Let's clear them out so we can get moving again."

Steff nodded, her gaze still alert. "I'll keep watch. We don't want any surprise visitors while we're at it."

With a collective effort, they pushed the zombie bodies away from the car's wheel, grunting with the exertion. Finally, the path was clear.

"There we go," Souta said, relieved.

"Great job, team," Amy praised, giving Souta a friendly pat on the back.

As they climbed back into the car, Lily sighed. "I hope we don't run into more of them anytime soon."

"Don't worry," Souta said, starting the engine. "We'll stay sharp and keep each other safe."

Steff smirked. "And next time, I'll make sure I'm better equipped with zombie-slaying gear."

The others chuckled, feeling a sense of camaraderie amidst the chaos. They knew the road ahead would be perilous, but their bond was a source of strength.

As they drove away from the scene, the moon emerged from behind the clouds, casting an eerie glow on the empty streets. Each of them understood that this was just the beginning of their fight for survival in a world overrun by the undead.

Although they had enough food for almost a month, their medicine supplies remained insufficient. The next week, they planned to visit the pharmacist outside their old school.

During dinner, they discussed their narrow escape and the need for more intense training. They improvised by adding weights to their exercises, such as jogging and swinging. They also found weights during their looting, but with only two sets available, they took turns using them. Souta used one set exclusively.
