There was something about this tornado, it wasn't like any other he had seen or experienced. This tornado was metallic, it destroyed everything and anything that stood on its part but sucked in only metallic objects, unfortunately, Donalbain had his cell phone and a bunch of keys in his pocket, so the tornado picked him up when he tried to make a run.
"Ahhhhhhh" he screamed as he was swallowed by the tornado, he was spun around inside the tornado, he screamed until he had no more power to shout and accepted his fate. While inside the tornado, he was struck by lightning which petrified him and he became still.
There was a large opening in the sky revealing a black hole, the tornado was soon swallowed up by the black hole with everything it had in it.
In a flash everything was over, the black hole had spat him out in another world. Donalbain was still, he couldn't move his body as he was being petrified. He was more like an object. He was found in a dumpsite by a group of men who happened to be scrap collectors. One of them who found him called out to his colleagues and they were surprised by what they were seeing, a stone-like human statue.
"Hey guys come look what I found"the first man called out, the others came over thinking he had found some value.
"What is it?" They asked, "Is it gold?"
They saw what he had found, a human-like stone statue. They were not happy so they left because it wasn't of any value to them. "Let's go," they said to him as they got in their truck. The man who had found him carried him along with him and got in the truck with his colleagues.
The man whose name was Robert took Donalbain home, but he still had no idea that the human-like statue was still alive. Robert was a bachelor, he lived alone. He planned to take his prize to an antique shop, "this should fetch a lot of money" he told himself. Robert took the statue to an antique shop the next day, when he got there he met the owner Mr. Phay cleaning his collections carefully with a small brush.
"Good morning Mr. Phay," Robert said as he walked in, "How's business?"
Mr. Phay stopped what he was doing to see who it was, he pushed his glasses up the bridges of his nose enabling him to see clearly.
"Howdy Robert, what brings you here this morning?" Mr. Phay asked.
"Nothing much, just decided to bring something I found at the dumpsite, thought it might be good to add to your collection," Robert said.
Mr. Phay turned round to see what it was that Robert had brought, indeed it was a sight to behold. He left the antique he had been cleaning and went over to inspect the statue Robert had brought.
"This is one intriguing piece of sculpture, one of a kind. I could have sworn it moved" Mr. Phay said, knocking the statue with his knuckles. "It's a good one, I'll take it"
"Really?" Robert asked, rubbing his hands together. "How much are you willing to pay for it?
"I don't know, what's your price?" Mr. Phay asked Robert.
Robert gave it some thought before he said "$1,000"
Mr. Phay showed a wee smile, "Now Robert, that's too much." He said, "Why don't I pay $700, hmm?"
"No Mr. Phay, I can't accept $700. You wouldn't believe where I found this priceless artifact" Robert said not wanting to settle for the price Mr. Phay was holding out for.
Mr. Phay looked at Robert and smiled again, he was determined to close the deal at the last try.
"Don't be so sentimental Robert, how about I go higher,$850?" Mr. Phay asked.
Robert, who was tired of bargaining, let out a groan and agreed to the final price.
"Alright, I'll take it, at least it's better than nothing," Robert said.
Mr. Phay went into his drawers and brought the money, counted it, and gave it to Robert. Robert counted the money and turned to leave.
"Bye Mr. Phay, see you some other time," Robert said as he walked through the door.
"Bye-bye, looking forward to seeing you next time," Mr. Phay said waving at him.
Mr. Phay turned to take a closer look at the statue, he had never seen such a thing. For some reason, he felt it could move.
"This should fetch me a fortune," Mr. Phay said to himself as he took the statue to the back of the shop where he kept others such as this.
