On the heels of Darcy's visit, Hayden texts you: "you know about your college looking to rent two more downtown buildings?"
You didn't. You'd heard that the town council had agreed to let the college rent the theater. After the vote, Hayden had texted you, "this better not go wrong."
You're betting that, in Hayden's view, it already has. They were worried about the college taking over downtown. The school discussing renting two more buildings must have made those worries far worse.
It's a bad sign that no one told you about this. It means that the administration doesn't see any need to keep you involved.
