You have so much to do that it's easiest not to reply at all. Pretty soon Hayden gets the hint and stops sending you texts and trying to call you.
That's One Less Job to Do
Despite your plans to share the semester's classes, Blankenship only makes it through the first Intro to Library Services class before asking you to take over. "I hadn't realized how hard it would be to return," he confesses to you after the class. "The amount of work to re-enter this world." He means more than the magical effort to cross the dimensional barrier. "As Chloe wants me involved specifically in the Divination class, I'm determined to continue with it unless doing so becomes untenable."
You agree to the change. You're helping out Blankenship, which Chloe will appreciate. Teaching the class by yourself is a political card you can play later to help out your career. In some ways it's easier to teach the class yourself. Blankenship is hard to find even though you're theoretically sharing an office. He's never in, and doesn't respond to texts or calls.
Even so, the first week of Divination class goes smoothly. After introducing his syllabus, he handles the first class, with you divining a possible phrase the students have written on slips of paper. You correctly predict that one student has written "butts butts butts," much to the student's embarrassment.
