Will's eyes, with Lady Rastan glaring out through them, go narrow.
"And you would know?" Will's mouth demands. "You'd know the slightest thing about the undead's trials? What hardship has a human had to face in comparison? Would you even know what true desperation is?"
Will's head looks down at Will's body, then it rises again to look back at you. "Let me show you."
Beside you, you feel Max crouch, getting ready to spring. If Will attacks you under Lady Rastan's control, how far can you go to defend yourselves? You don't have an answer.
Lady Rastan's voice cuts through your thoughts. "In a moment, I am going to kill this human."
"NO!!" Romilly shouts, starting forward once again. Will's hand waves sharply, and the Head Girl stops, suddenly silent.
"If you can think of any reason to persuade me otherwise," Lady Rastan's voice continues, as though there had been no interruption, "then I'm sure William would be keen for you to try. So…" Will's arms open wide, as though inviting your response. "Why shouldn't I kill him?"
