Sonia shrugs her slim shoulders. "Val and I were simply having a…discussion," she says. You glance at Val, who briefly raises her crimson eyes to meet yours.
"I suppose you could say that Val has been considering her options," Sonia continues. "I'll spare you the biological specifics, seeing as I doubt you'd understand it, but the short version is that vampires who were turned rather than born…" she gestures to Val "…like her, are able to reverse the process, returning to their mortal forms. Most don't, of course, but Val isn't like other vampires, are you, Val?"
Val doesn't respond. She's looking down at her shoes, though Sonia is endeavoring to block her view.
"So how about it, human?" the small vampire asks, sarcasm dripping from every word. "Fancy giving Val some advice? Supplying the mortal perspective?"
You look at Val, who's still casting her gaze downwards.
