Michelle pushes through the main doors, leading you through the foyer towards a staircase leading downwards. You wonder, briefly, what sort of horrors Cavalcade Academy might keep within its basement, but you take comfort in the fact that you're at least descending in the company of a nigh-unkillable teenage zombie.
As you descend, the light becomes brighter and harsher: clearly electric rather than the warmer light of day. It's coming from a lone door at the end of a corridor, behind which you can hear the sound of grinding machinery, as well as the hum of electricity and, you think, some muffled muttering.
Before she opens the door, Michelle stops, turning to look at you.
"Bit of advice?" she says. "I get that you don't want to talk about it, but be honest with them. They know about this sort of thing."
