Chapter 7 - Chapter Seven

Nicholas had just finished his call. It was some foreign investors that he was discussing business with. He wanted to expand his business to China.

As he came out, he saw a little gathering and there was a commotion. He was immediately displeased because he created his restaurant to be an elite place but these people were making it so rowdy.

He walked closely to see what was happening.

The next thing he saw made him see red. Julia was in front of the counter looking pissed and at the same time, he heard the receptionist ordering her to be thrown out security guards standing there.

Everyone turned when they heard the voice.

The receptionist also looked to see who it was. She was new to the job so she didn't know the staff treated him differently. Although they didn't know he was the owner, they were still warned not to cross him and serve him whenever he came no matter his request. He doesn't bother going to the reception but instead goes through his private elevator straight to his private room.

He wanted to give Julia a normal date so he wanted them to be served as a normal couple but he was indeed regretting his decision now.

Nicholas walked to Julia and stood beside her.

Julia was already very pissed because of what happened. Once she saw Nicholas, she held his arm without thinking pouting and showing an aggrieved look.

This made Nicholas's heart soften and he stared at her lovingly. He liked the fact that she was leaning toward him.

Kelly watched their public display of affection and grew green with envy. Mark was handsome but this guy was way more handsome. He looked refined, gentlemanly, and loaded. He was a way better choice than Mark and he was with Julia.

She saw the way he looked at her with love in his eyes. If this kind of man looked at her like this, she would feel like the luckiest girl alive. An idea came to her mind immediately and she she quickly stepped out.

"There was a little misunderstanding, sir" Kelly was the first to speak. "My friend here was in...."

"I don't think I asked you anything" Nicholas cut her off coldly.

Kelly didn't dare speak again. She looked at him with a sad face hoping to get sympathetic for him but it didn't look like he even glanced at her.

Nicholas couldn't be bothered with the woman talking just now. He turned to the receptionist and called the manager.

"Remove her immediately," Nicholas said once the manager arrived and the receptionist was dragged out.

Everyone was wondering the identity of this man who the manager seemed so polite to. The manager doesn't easily fear anyone because of his powerful backing who was the owner of the restaurant.

Mark stared at the scene of Julia snuggling close to Nicholas and felt a pang of jealousy. Julia was a beautiful girl and he really liked her but she was unwilling to let him touch her. Kelly's innocent face made him fall for her. She was the kind who looked like she needed to be protected and every man likes to feel useful and strong.

Julia could always stand on her own and made him feel useless all the time (A/N: this was the reason Mark used to try and justify himself) but the way she acted today when this man came was as if she was a weak woman waiting to be saved by her prince charming. look

"Please, I was only following the rules. I have nowhere to go to" The receptionist begged the manager as she was being thrown out. She had seen the obvious interest in his eyes when he looked at her normally and that was one of the reasons she was so confident. " I can do anything for you," She said when she was already thrown out and alone with the manager. She had struggled to get this well-paying job and didn't want to lose it. Moreover, many rich heirs come here.

She raised her chest higher so he could see what she was offering.

"You should be happy that you were not blacklisted. You messed with the wrong person this time" He had wanted her before for sexual reasons but the moment she offended the big boss, he just hoped he wouldn't get implicated.

He was a man in his prime 30's so he had needs but they were not worth losing his job over. He left her as fast as he could after warning her.

Julia was still holding onto Nicholas's arm as they walked to their seat complaining about the poor reception in the restaurant.

She had never felt so insulted in her life and she wanted to vent all her anger by talking about it.

" Aren't you letting go of me now?" Nicholas asked. with a smirk on his face.

Although he liked the warmth of her hands, they needed to eat now.

She immediately let go of him seeming to remember who she has been with all the time.

"Sorry about that," She said. She never kept anything that made her annoyed so when she saw him, she couldn't help but complain to him.

"I am absolutely not complaining but we need to eat," He said with a teasing tone.

"Just shut up," she said covering her face that was already burning.

He was amused by her. One second, she was bold and the next, she behaved very shyly. He also likes the fact that his status doesn't matter to her. She acts as if she is talking to an actual person when with him not like those that always try to cozy up to him and acts as if they have seen a god. She was already growing on him and he liked it.
