It was finally the day of their engagement party.
After visiting Nicholas's father, they had gone to visit her grandfather who was very satisfied with Nicholas. Nicholas had put in his best charm and charmed her grandfather so well that he was smiling (His smile was a little curve of his lips but that was already a great achievement) all through their meeting.
Nicholas grandfather was the opposite of hers. He was so nice and jovial. He had a protuding stomach and white beards that made him look like santa clause. The interaction between Nicholas and his grandfather showed her the amount of love they had for each Nicholas looked like a completely different person her and far more relaxed than she had ever seen him.
He was Nicholas maternal grandfather and he had shown her the picture of Nicholas's mother. She was a very beautiful woman. Nicholas got his blue eyes from her.
