Chapter 66 - Mission On The West

The atmosphere tightened as Blaze and Aurora took their seats, completing the imposing council table. A palpable tension settled in the air, casting a subdued hush over the assembly of world leaders. The once lively discussions now yielded to the weight of their combined presence, each figure exuding an aura of authority that filled the room with a quiet intensity.

"Now what are our options?" Aurora said.

"We could form a team of highly ranked warriors to try and get rid of him" Jon suggested.

The other leaders nodded in silent agreement, hesitant to propose dealing with Akashi directly and risking further escalation. However, a shift occurred when Walter raised his hand, prompting a collective hush to fall over the room. Angel acknowledged his silent request to speak with a subtle nod.

"Can't you two deal with Akashi instead of sacrificing more lives?" Walter asked.

Shock rippled through the room. The unspoken rule was clear – Blaze and Angel's assistance was typically reserved for Titan Tier Beast cases, making such a request an unprecedented deviation. The tension heightened as the leaders grappled with the potential consequences of broaching a sensitive subject that could either be denied or worse, risk offending the formidable pair.

"I'm afraid that we'll have to deny that request, all the reinforcements that you need to deal with Akashi are already on their way here" Angel said with a smile.

"The Bloodlines are coming to the Island" Blaze said.

"With all due respect The Bloodlines can't possibly deal with this situation" Finn said and interrupted Blaze.

A sudden, palpable pressure filled the room as Blaze directed a pointed gaze at Finn. The weight of his scrutiny caused Finn to gulp hard, a realization settling in about the potential gravity of his remark. The atmosphere, already tense, now carried an added layer of unease as the consequences of the interruption hung heavily in the air.

"Can you shut up already and not interrupt?" Blaze said in a menacing tone.

Finn flinched under Blaze's gaze, finally choosing silence. Yet, it remained evident that he harbored skepticism regarding the Bloodlines. Kai and his companions, known as The 5 Bloodlines, were distinguished by possessing the King spirits of the original elements. The term carried a weight of ancient legacy, but for Finn, doubt lingered, casting shadows over the perceived truths surrounding these formidable figures.

"Now we'll just have to hold off the siege until they arrive" Aurora said.

At that moment, a soldier rushed into the room, forgoing any semblance of courtesy as he barged in without knocking. With an urgency that cut through the tense air, he yelled.

"The shadows have started to move towards the south side of the wall. We need to evacuate the world leader. Now!" The soldier yelled out of breath.

"He already broke through the barricade on the east side, that should be impossible" Jon said.

"Well it seems our meeting is over here" Aurora said as she and blaze stood up and headed towards the door.

"So that's it they won't help us?" Nika asked General Varques.

General Varques stood stoically, unmoved by the captain's outburst. Despite his anger at the meeting's outcome, he remained unresponsive, knowing that his influence was limited until Kai's arrival. The tension in the room persisted, with the general silently bracing for the impending arrival of Kai, a force that could potentially reshape the dynamics of the unfolding situation.

"I only hope that they are correct about you being able to stop this Kai" He whispered.

"ALL TRITON UNIT SUPPORT THE BARRICADES, DON"T LET ONE OF THOSE BASTARDS GET THROUGH" The general yelled into a radio as they all went to the barricade on the east.

Nika however was pulled aside by the general.

"Nika heads to the West barricade, and makes sure everything is ok. Kai will arrive in the west thanks to the weather, make sure he avoids Astro soldiers as they'll probably be going against him. He is our only hope, "the general said.

The captain saluted with a forced smile, concealing the underlying tension within her. She proceeded on her way to the west border, unaware of the horrors awaiting her on the other side of the wall. The imminent danger loomed silently, casting a shadow over her path as she ventured toward the unknown challenges that awaited in the western territories.
