I found myself staring at the ground as if it were the most interesting thing on the planet while I was standing in the presence of the magnificent beast that went by the name of Alpha Cedric.
Gosh… I wouldn't be telling the truth if I said my breath didn't hitch every time I saw him. It was impossible to miss him in a large group of people because of the otherworldly manner in which he carried himself. He was the kind of man who stood out.
But I hated him, nonetheless.
We were in a room that appeared to be some kind of office. It was comparable to the one that I had been led into by accident earlier in the day; however, this room appeared to be one thousand times more contemporary than the other room.
It was hard for me to decide whether or not to look around in wonder or to keep my eyes cast down low. My only thought was finding a way to escape his blazing gaze, which was making painful punctures in my skin.
