"Damned monster… how dare you attack my village," The man said and then hiccuped. "You will… pay for this."

The old man appeared somewhat unsteady on his feet, swaying as if he were inebriated. Despite his unsteady posture, he managed to adopt a combat-ready stance, signaling his intent to engage in a confrontation. 

After the previous kick, Kane noticed that he had lost ten percent of his health. This prompted him to become more cautious; even in his intoxicated state, the old man appeared to be a formidable adversary. Kane knew he needed to be on his guard. Still, he kept his guard up more for the reason to see if he could learn something out of that guy.

Kane quickly glanced to the side and observed the skeletons efficiently finishing off the remaining soldiers and incapacitating the frightened villagers. This allowed him to divert his full attention back to the old man standing before him.
