Thanks to the luggage that he was carrying on his back, Kane returned to the village when it was dark again. For a moment, the guards pointed their bows at him when they saw a weird figure approaching the village… but soon they understood that it wasn't a monster, it was just someone carrying a three meters tall pile of fur.

"Man… you sure adapt fast," Jacob said, visibly impressed. "A few days ago, you came looking as if you were about to die, but since that day, I didn't see a single scratch on your body."

"Well, Kane doesn't look like smarter, but he at least learns fast when the lesson is taught using his body," Emma added. "… I guess I need to improve my choice of words. This sounded weird in more ways than one."
