Although Emma and Jacob frowned when they saw Kane wounded and carrying a lot of bees' fur, they didn't ask him anything because he was showing on his face that he didn't feel like talking.
"I didn't think that you liked honey that much…" Emma said.
Emma tried to lighten the mood by joking, but Kane didn't react in any way. He didn't glare at her, nor did he laugh. So, Emma felt uncomfortable in an unexpected way.
