Both the apples shattered, one turned into glitter that gathered into silver dust on Emovi's hands. Meanwhile, the apple that had been shot with my blood, remained normal. The silver coating on it had shattered leaving the apple unharmed.
"Looks like you are getting the hang of it."
I practised for a few minutes before telling her that I got the basic fundamentals of it.
I decided to show her my mastery over it. Focusing on the loxes in the air, I shot out my own loxes at them containing silver.
"Freeze."
A giant beam of silver emerged in the room. I grabbed it, waving it around before releasing it.
"Shatter."
It shattered into dust and fell to the ground.
Emovi and Aylin watched in awe as I effortlessly created silver.
"How did you manage to get such a power?"
Aylin curiously stepped towards me with her hands behind her back.
"Well, uhhh…"
"Why is it that you have the same abilities as the Silver Saint?"
I decided to tell her about yesterday when I snuck out whilst she was sleeping. Elaborating in detail I told her how I got impaled by a silver sword and how I was suddenly able to use his abilities.
Aylin looked at me with a sceptical expression before turning her back towards me.
"If you say so, just don't injure yourself okay?"
With her legs crossed, Devina looked at me with a pleased grin.
Was there anything else that I needed to learn how to use? I looked at my hands, seeing the faint silverine aura around my body. I could use the freeze and shatter abilities flawlessly but I couldn't seem to master the silverine aura yet.
"Devina, how many days does Emovi have left?"
"Approximately 4 days."
Hearing that our deadline was falling short, I asked Devina if we should hurry up and deliver Sekito to Zerstörer. I peeked over at Emovi, her symptoms had been suppressed but she would still die in 4 days. I wanted to hurry up before that happened.
"Do you even know what we are supposed to do?"
"Give Sekito to Zerstörer, he reverses the curse on Emovi, I freeze him, take Sekito back and then run away."
Devina fell onto the bed like a dead insect before starting to facepalm herself repeatedly.
"Say Vivshi… did you form a contract with Zerstörer?"
No words came out of my mouth as Devina asked that question. A contract would guarantee that Zerstörer wouldn't be able to betray the rules of our agreement. But I never formed a contract with him, meaning that he could just take Sekito and not undo the curse on Emovi.
"You are such an idiot…"
I was truly an idiot, not knowing how to do anything, and not being able to help anyone. I looked at Emovi with a guilty face.
"You know… there is something we could probably do that would guarantee he releases the curse on Emovi."
An evil grin grew on Devina's face, she told us that she would be right back. Digging through her pocket dimension she nabbed her teleport tool and vanished.
While waiting, me, Aylin and Emovi were playing some board games. Suddenly after a few minutes, Devina reappeared on the bed and took out a piece of paper. She placed it on the table and I read it out loud.
"…"
Devina had a proud smirk on her face as she placed her hands on her hips.
"How did you, get a contract with him?"
"I just asked him for one."
Both my eyebrows rose as I wondered what in tarnation just happened. How did she just magically get a contract that easily?
"Why would he give up such a strong position?"
"Well, he just told me he really loved Sekito."
On the contract, it said, that in exchange for revoking the curse on Emovi, he would attain Sekito.
"So we are actually going with that plan?"
"Yup."
Was it really that easy to get Zerstörer to give us an even playing field? But this is great news! This means that Zerstörer can't go back on our deal.
"So are we gonna go to Nautilus today?"
Devina looked at me with a concerned face. Her eyes squinted before raising her eyebrows.
"You really think you can win against the Aeon of Breakage that easily?"
"I managed to defeat the Aeon of Fear, what do I have to fear?"
With a massive sigh, Devina rested her head against a chair before sighing again.
"Look here idiot, the only reason you came out there alive was because he was heavily underestimating you. You must have realized it yourself, you inflicted zero damage on him."
When I thought about Devina's words, it made sense. Those times I attacked him, I didn't manage to damage him at all, I just put scratches on his armor and cloth. I wonder if my last attack did any damage at all because it was my final desperate ultimate attack.
"Is Zerstörer tougher than Fear?"
"Well at the top of the power chart, we have Fear, but Zerstörer would be around top 5."
What is it that makes Zerstörer an Aeon? What was his ability? Does he have an acclimation?
"I will tell you how to deal with him, just listen carefully alright?"
Nodding repeatedly I listened in as Devina explained.
After listening, there were some important things I had to know. Firstly the Aeon of Breakage's main ability is to accelerate the time of objects it touches. There is no limit on how fast it accelerates, he can make an object go through 10 million years of history, turning completely into dust.
And his Aeon Acclimation… well, Devina told me to be extra careful on that one, she had really limited info on it and only explained it had something to do with time.
Clapping her hands together Devina rocked her way out of the chair she sat in and stood up.
"Kay, let's go train your silverine aura."
"How are we gonna do that?"
Devina dug through her pocket dimension and fished out her teleporting device.
"What are you gonna do with that…"
"Boop."
"DEVI…."
The next moment I was in a dark room with barely any light, only coming from a few torches attached to the walls. There were scriptures on the wall as well as carvings and symbols across the floor. I looked around and saw a massive wooden door, probably 20 meters tall.
Where the hell did she teleport me now?
It was a quiet atmosphere, but I felt as if something had its eye on me. No, it was more than something, I felt as if thousands of eyes were directed at me.
Looking around I saw nothing but those weird symbols and letters on the floor and wall.
Ah shit… I forgot my weapon at that hotel. Wait no… I had it on me the whole time but Devina took it away from me when I wasn't paying attention. That little brat, I will make her pay for this one day.
I slammed on the wooden door. Sounds of banging and slamming echoed throughout the dark room. I felt like I had awakened something by making so much noise.
I had enough of this. I put my hand on the door and sensed after the loxes in the wood.
"Freeze."
The whole wooden door turned into solid silver, and the sound of the silver spreading up made a hissing crystallizing sound, as it neared the top the sound of crackling pierced the air. I smiled as I looked up seeing that my training paid off.
My expression turned serious as I tried to locate those loxes I had frozen. My mind searched for everything inside that door before I uttered the next word.
"Shatter."
