Now in sequestration, what awaited me next? A road full of new people who would meet the same fate as my friends? A road of secludedness and isolation?
Why are these chains still intact after all of that? And why haven't they released me yet? Sekito died in front of me.
How cumbersome this was, stuck out here all alone with shackles around me. The aeon of freedom continued to pulsate rapidly and aggressively. It is still aggravated from being held in place.
I lost the ability to feel any pain and I lost control over my limbs. I look down at my hands and see them slowly disintegrating into dust. My body is crumbling away?
I get it now, the consequence of freedom is freedom. You live all your life struggling for it, yearning for it every day. To be liberated you gotta sacrifice it.
My hands had already turned into ash and I gave one last smile.
Martyred…
My consciousness started to fade. It was finally for me, the aeon of freedom to be freed. My arms had been completely turned into ash. The flower continued to pulse violently.
I don't want to die. But deep down, it is probably something I deserve after all the things I have done.
I let my mother leave. I let my brothers die in front of me. I lived like a filthy animal for years on the streets. I killed all my friends.
I would leave this world regretting not being able to extend their life. The inability to save anything I loved.
My dilapidated body was beyond salvation. At least they didn't suffer more.
In one last-ditch attempt to break free from the chains, the flower exploded again and created a smaller version of the black sphere. But the chains remained intact.
The flower had used up every single ounce of it's energy reserves and the leaves started to wilt. The tree decomposed and the dark roots around my body retracted.
I could finally rethink again and I could see everything now. The aeon of freedom wasn't running rampant in my head anymore.
I looked around, looked down, and saw my torso had already started to decompose.
"Oh right, I'm all alone."
I sighed and looked up into the sky.
"If I had walked a different path, would this have happened?"
The brightest stars might be the ones that are the furthest away. I shouldn't have threaded so deep, I should have just played it safer. If I had spoken to Marlowlia's father before the kidnapping took progress.
I could have… surv.. ..i...
Closing my eyes and relaxing my head, I slowly drift off to the void.
"You better pay off this debt, bozo." A familiar voice called out.
I was pulled back from the light and when I opened my eyes, I saw Devina standing right in front of me.
"I thought you died?"
"You think I wouldn't have planned that out? You big baby."
She smacked my head and looked at my body.
"Damn."
She summoned her blue hole and out came Sekito.
"Alrightie, you can release the chains now."
The chains rattled as they were taken back. My head and a small piece of my torso remained.
Devina caught my head and I couldn't help but wonder how I was still alive with most of my body gone.
"I injected you with something spicy to keep you alive long enough to heal yo ass."
"So how long should I stay alive?"
"Depends on how many more injections I got."
Sekito comes up flying behind Devina and lightly pokes her to get her attention.
"Are you really sure it is safe to have him like that? Like, imagine him going on one of those rampages again?"
Devina tells Sekito to take a good look at my body and asks her if I would be able to do that.
"I mean, last time, attacks didn't work against him and he regenerated the wounds almost immediately. So I'm sort of worried."
"Don't worry, I will make sure his Aeon doesn't activate."
I look worriedly and concerned at Devina.
"If both of you survived, does it mean that Emovi and the others also survived?"
"No, they died."
I looked down in dismay and sorrow.
"Just kidding. They all are in my pocket dimension, all the residents, including Emovi and Aylin."
I let out a sigh of relief… wait, I don't have lungs right now.
"Devina, how am I breathing?"
"You're not, it is just a mechanism. Your brain is getting oxygen through other means."
"Hey Devina, Vivshi kinda destroyed their house, what should we do about that? I don't have that much money right now…"
"Don't worry about it, sis."
Devina threw out a piece of metal on the ground and it started to shake and then shoot out harmless lasers in all directions. Then wood, concrete, rocks, and other materials came flying out of the metal box and it recreated a replica of Marlowlia's house.
After the house was fixed and done, the interior didn't change a bit, everything was in place, even the garden.
"Hooray for my little sister helping us not get in debt!"
"So what do we do now Devina? We got all these people and Vivshi to take care of."
"Well, I sorta have this idea I wanna test out."
A wicked and sinister smile grew across Devina's face as she readied her plan.
