Soon after Priya started running, the Anomalocaris group all seemingly swam through the ice, all targeting her. However, strangely their swimming didn't cause any sound. Instead, they just silently approached.
"Priya, we will need to fight them, it seems." Hendrix stated after remembering undead had unlimited stamina.
"I guess so, too." Priya replied before stopping and putting Hendrix down.
Hendrix then willed his soul-bound artifacts to appear, however.

'I'll have to modify my Tlyacuv to have protection against cold and heat and be water and fireproof somehow later.' Hendrix thought before sighing and taking off his coat, and letting it fall to the floor. Subsequently, willing for his Tlyacuv and two Chixilub to appear.
After they appeared, Hendrix smiled under his helmet and visor. However, his visor hid his facial expression. Additionally, the four straps wrapping around his shoulders swayed in the wind with eight hundred wooden needles embedded in them. And his two Chixilub were in their scabbards.
The Tlyacuv covered his whole body as he walked forward and drew one Chixilub, and held it in front of himself with both hands and in a defensive stance.
Priya had no combat experience but held her sword with the blade facing her left.
Eventually, the duo saw the Anomalocaris somehow leaping out of the ice of the frozen lake, and they seemed to leap into other chunks of ice before jumping into others. About five Anomalocaris was leaping between ice chunks toward the duo.
Hendrix gripped his Chixilub tighter, awaiting the inevitable clash between them. Eventually, the first Anomalocaris leaped out of the ice towards Hendrix's face, aiming to knock him down.
Hendrix held his Chixilub up, and its tip pointed to the left to block the strike. However, the Anomalocaris, seemingly expecting this, wrapped its right-face tentacle around Hendrix's Chixilub and tried pulling it from him. Additionally, its presence slowed Hendrix's reaction speed, thoughts, metabolism, etc. By an infinitesimal amount.
Hendrix's eyes widened as he briskly gripped the Chixilub and lifted off the ground alongside it, and flew towards an ice chunk. Subsequently, one of his hands let go and quickly grabbed a needle from the closet strap, loaded it to the right tiny bow, aimed it at the thing's mouth under its head, and finally shot the needle inside.
Consequently, the Anomalocaris let go of Hendrix's Chixilub right before it entered the ice as it felt the pain inside its mouth. However, Hendrix quickly backed away from the ice chunk, lightheaded from the ordeal.
'What the?!' Hendrix thought, realizing the Anomalocaris ability. Subsequently, he backed away further and turned around.
However, when he turned around, another Anomalocaris flew towards him. Hence he quickly got into a defensive stance once again, pointing his Chixilub downward and vertically.
Meanwhile, the Anomalocaris hit his Chixilub, the force causing Hendrix to fly backward and onto a rock as the Anomalocaris flew above him.
Hendrix quickly got up despite the pain and saw two Anomalocaris leaping at him, one from each side. He quickly thought of an idea and rolled forward as both Anomalocaris crashed into each other behind him, causing a massive cracking sound before they both rebounded and entered ice chunks.
Hendrix was sweating profusely at this point from the aggressive fighting. However, he wasn't allowed to rest as another approached from his right at a diagonal angle.
Subsequently, he barely dodged it by backing away as the air from it whizzed in front of him. Afterward, Hendrix had a realization and now knew why only three applicants had ever survived this place.
However, he didn't plan to give up as he grabbed a needle and aimed it at a fast-approaching Anomalocaris mouth and shot it into it. Consequently, the Anomalocaris twitched as its face tentacles moved erratically.
Hendrix, not missing the opportunity, dodged the attack and swung his Chixilub as hard as he could into the Anomalocaris's right eye. This action made the eye bend to the left unnaturally, and the Anomalocaris seemingly screeched as it flew into an ice chunk.
He now thought of a plan and decided to enact it as he waited for the next Anomalocaris to attack. And his waiting proved fruitful as one flew at him from behind.
His right hand moved and grasped a needle before he aimed it and fired at the Anomalocaris's mouth, and without waiting for the result, he dodged to the left and swung his Chixilub at its left eye.
The Anomalocaris couldn't dodge while midair, and its left eye bent unnaturally to the right while it flew by him. Hendrix smiled, enjoying the thrill of the battle, before he felt himself being hit from behind, resulting in the sound of something hard snapping in two.
"Agh!" Hendrix yelled bloody murder as he flew into the air. However, in his agony, he looked down underneath him and swung his Chixilub while falling at the remaining uninjured eye of a damaged Anomalocaris.
The attack resulted in a sickening crack and amputated the uninjured eye. Subsequently, the Anomalocaris released a harrowing cry of agony, falling to the ground and on a rock.
Hendrix landed on his back and gritted his teeth but quickly got up, ran to the grounded Anomalocaris, and swung his Chixilub at its remaining injured eye, amputating it.
The now blind Anomalocaris looked around erratically and began to panic, but Hendrix left it alone as he had other opponents to beat. Afterward, he ran at an Anomalocaris but leaped to its left side at the last moment while swinging his Chixilub at its left eye.
Consequently, the eye bent unnaturally to the right side as the Anomalocaris screeched loudly. However, Hendrix didn't relax as he prepared for the next attack.
He didn't wait long as another one leaped at him, and as it flew in his direction, he smiled and leaped to the right side while swinging his Chixilub at its right eye, resulting in it bending unnaturally to the left as the Anomalocaris flew by him.
Hendrix grimaced as he saw an Anomalocaris with a needle in its mouth flying towards him, and he readied himself and ducked at the last moment while he thrust his Chixilub inside its mouth and pushed the needle into its brain before pulling his weapon out.
Consequently, the action resulted in it crying out in agony as it fell to the ground and lay on it while using its face tentacles to try and pull out the needle. Hendrix nodded, seeing this, and swung his Chixilub to the right after seeing an Anomalocaris from the corner of his eye while dodging to the right.
