Five minutes elapsed between this and Gleren's arrival to the pavilion.
The golden light eventually enveloped the entire academy. When Varvara recognized that her power was no longer useful, they had already arrived.
"So, here's where you are. Our sacrificial lamb."
The one speaking first stated whilst casting Maria a sharp look. The people in question had their identities concealed by white robes with hoods covering their faces. They numbered five, and based on their stature, there were three men and two women among them. Most likely a man was in the lead.
Varvara pondered "they are coming after miss Valentine? But who are these people?!" as soon as she heard the person speaking in the lead.
"I see you're not together with your petty demon bodyguard. But being with her won't change a thing. Given how weak she was. KUHAHAHA!"
Demon?
"W-what do you want?! W-who are you people?!"
She was shivering with fright, but Varvara stepped between the man in the robe, with Maria behind her. Seeing this, Maria made a surprise impression. Although her expression suggested otherwise, there was a tinge of astonishment in her eyes.
"Miss Maria, I don't know why but these people are coming after you! Please run away!"
"Hmmm. Who is this person? She isn't your underling, is she now? But I suppose, you may try to run. But I must tell you this. We already have the academy in our full control, hide and run as much as you want, you won't be able to escape us. But you may try. It's more entertaining that way! KUHAHAHA!"
"Y-you're crazy! I-I will never hand her over to the kinds of you!"
The person in the front shook his head. He was laughing.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk. What can a pebble existence like you can do? You look weak, little girl. And with your ability sealed, what do you think you can do?"
As he said that, the ones on his back started to laugh as well. "I know that very well" Varvara thought. "But if I give her up her and now, as her friend, as someone whom I'd just befriended with… I will never be able to forgive myself…and I won't be able look at Gleren face to face…"
"Thanks to your managements' naivety, we managed to infiltrate this school pretty easily. How stupid can the administrators of this academy be?"
He stated it as though he was in a state of euphoria. It's true. Nothing except the academy's inadequate security could be blamed for how easily these people gained access to the premises. Varvara, however, never giving up, said, "I have no choice but to try it.".
"Miss Valentine, please run!"
She thought to herself, "I could at least buy time for her." Varvara fearlessly charged at the five robed individuals. She finds herself compelled to utilize her physical body because she is unable to use any of her abilities. She is aware of the potential risk, but Varvara believes that just now, protecting her new friend comes first. She had no choice but to respond in kind when these people are so obviously hostile.
"Hmmph! Fool!"
The leader sneered.
Gleren informed Varvara that she was outstanding and had a powerful ability. However, he reminded her not to overestimate her capacities. So, when she has the time, she occasionally joins Gleren in his daily training—though he alters his regimen whenever she involves herself, it was far from light work. He was training her martial arts, despite the fact that she is still a beginner. For Gleren, any means to protect herself with be proven necessary—just like the current situation she was in.
"I will not give up my friend to the likes of you!"
She launched her frontal assault as she stated this. Maria was known throughout the school as the ice-cold Queen, but the instant she heard Varvara pronounce those words, her face brightened up. She was both astonished and delighted that a girl her age thought of her as a friend.
Varvara drove herself forward while folding her hand into a fist. "Use your mind to devise a plan as you battle. You can use feint, diversion, and traps if you have to. In battle, the ones who can use their head to the fullest are the winners," Gleren advised her when she was training with him. "Fighting is not just about strength or the ability you possess. Fighting also uses strategies. Varvara is smart, so you will have no problem whenever you fight." She was reminded.
"Even just once, if I hit this person in front of me even just once, then it might give miss Valentine an opportunity to escape!" That's what she has in mind.
"Hah!"
On her left hand, she was holding a bud of blue rose that she picked up earlier, she used this and threw it toward the leader in a backhanded motion, nevertheless it was easily dodged, however she did not stop there--she already had it anticipated. The bud, it simply served as her diversion—she followed her throw with a right-hand punch. But it was all in vain; with a simple movement, the leader deftly sidestepped her onslaught. Asserting that she did not strike him, she knelt down and performed a high spinning kick using her hands as a support; as a result, her skirt flew and her underwear was inadvertently seen.
Her enemies, however, paid little attention to her attractive white underwear, and her kick was blocked. Yet, she did not yield, instead using her hand to spring up close to the leader, as she did so, she threw a handful of dust that she got when she did a handstand, the leader was taken aback and was temporarily blinded by the dust, which is when she rendered a hit land to the face of that robed person. The hit was quite hard as he stumbled and fell on his butt.
"Don't you ever underestimate me! I have the best master there is!"
These nimble movements were unthinkable before, but with Gleren's guidance and her smarts, she was able to do these kinds of stuff. However, it only angered the leader.
"You impudent bitch! I will make sure you regret this!"
A vein bulge on his forehead and in that instant. The leaders' whole body glowed. It was so bright that the whole garden was engulfed in it. Then all of the sudden, a sharp hit landed on Varvara—it was strong that it made her fly backwards tearing her clothes apart; revealing the sarashi under her uniform. As if it wasn't enough, another hit of that same attack followed. Varvara was not able to do anything anymore; she was beaten up one sidedly at this point. Her clothes were tattered and her underwear was now in view. That's the state she was in when Gleren had found her. She fell to the ground helpless.
"This is my ability. {Tyrants Rule} I can make invisible things to attack you with."
Tyrant's rule? Invisible? Varvara couldn't keep up with her thoughts… she was on the verge of losing her consciousness.
"And not only that, I can do this too."
When he said that, Varvara's body floated in the air. She was squirming as if there was an invisible hand choking her. The leader was seriously trying to kill her. That's when Maria decided to speak.
"Enough. Stop. it."
When she heard her, Varvara was left surprised. In her mind she thought; "why didn't you run away?"
"I. go with you. Let. her go."
When the leader heard her say that, he smirked evilly and threw Varvara on the ground as if she was just some doll.
"Kukuku. I would like it if you run around a little. But I also appreciate you for making my job a lot easier. Come with us, our lamb, the Vampire Princess. We had prepared a teleportation gate at the church."
Varvara was on the verge of collapsing but she manages to hear him faintly; "Vampire princess? Church…" She saw them walk away slowly towards the location that they mentioned. To the other side of the garden—to where the church was located.
"Sir, what do we do about that girl?"
One of his lackeys asked, looking at the helpless girl laying on the ground.
"Hmm? Leave her be. If what she said was true, then 'a master' will be coming for her. Wouldn't it be exciting if we beat him to pulp too, just like her? KUHAHAHA!"
As he laughed confidently, they headed to the place where they intended to. And shortly as they left, Gleren arrived.
"Please entertain me well, Mister master. KUHAHAHA!"
"Whoever did that to her will pay ten times!"
With both their thoughts; the leader of the unidentified group and Gleren's laid open—the battle that would happen at the certain location was already set—to the church!
