Chapter 4 - Chapter 3: The Entrance Ceremony 2. (Fixed)

[Yet another incident took place again in New York city. Around 10pm last night, a sudden attack broke out at the Centeal Park. It was said to be an act of terrorism. The sighting of an Ability user was confirmed by the onlookers.]

"Hmm. Another one?"

I mumbled in response to the electronic voice coming from the T.V. I let the spoon hung to my mouth as I stared intently to the image being produced by the screen.

"That is a bad manner, brother." Sofy scolded, taking away the metal spoon from my mouth. Then, clamping one slice of bacon with her chopsticks she said, "Even so, it's happening quite frequently these days. The involvements of unregistered users, I mean. Here say ah~."

She added as she feed me the bacon. I quietly chomped away the food she offered, my eyes glued to the news.

"Ah, hey..."

Seeing as I am not paying attention to the foods, Sofy took the remote and turned the T.V off.

"What?!" She's not even hiding her irk. Her brows were knitting. As expected of my sister.

Even so... Unregistered users, eh...

Time flew by and it was already 8:30 in the morning. Still too early if you'd ask me, but for outstanding students like Sofy, it was a pressed time. So, after finishing her breakfast, Sofy went back to her room to get ready. After a short while, she returned—already in her uniform.

"Hehe, how do I look?" Sofy asked as she lightly lifted the hem of her skirts. It was a new uniform for our first day in school. She must have been wanting to show me this—given as she didn't show it to me last night. "Yep. You look good. Beautiful." I gave her a thumb's up.

"Ehehe. Brother, I'll head out first."

"Ohm, okay. I'll go after I'm done tidying up." I paused my hands from wiping the table. "Are you okay going all by yourself, though?"

"Yep, no problem. Shiina is waiting for me outside."

"Oh, I see. Take care then. Say hi to Shiina for me."

"Yep, I will!"

She was about to leave. But then as if remembering something, she suddenly turned to me again.

"Brother!" She called. This time her voice was louder.

Our school uniform was consists of a Military type blazer for the upper and skirt for the lower half—for girls. Same for the boys, but we wear pants of course. And so, when she suddenly turned back like that, her skirt fluttered. It perfectly rounded in the air revealing her black stocking that was tightly embracing her luscious thigh.

I tilted my head, "Hm? What is it? Did you forget something?"

"…"

She stared at me in disbelief. She furrowed her brows as if saying, "You are the one who forgot something!"

Uwahh, if stares could kill.

"Wh-what is it my little sister?" I stuttered.

"Y-you…forgot…"

Face flushed red, she mumbled as she restlessly fidgets. Then she went near me, tugged the hem of my clothes and then looked me in the eyes. I am taller than her, so she needs to look up in order to meet my eyes. And so, in my perspective… she was looking up to me, face red with embarrassment. And in teary eyes she added, "…my goodbye… k-kiss…"

*Bang!

Guh! I felt like something inside me just exploded!

"Oh, that huh. Hehe, sorry. Come here." I grinned teasing her. Trying to cut off the feeling I just endured.

I then held her perfect shapely face. Her skin was so soft and smooth that it felt really pleasant in my palm. Then, as she closed her eyes my lips found its mark. Straight to her forehead.

"Ehehe. Goodbye, brother."

Seemingly satisfied, she ran towards the door and then opened it. Before going out, she left a smiled once again and gave a small wave—then finally went out.

This is our everyday routine. Breakfast, little chat, and then a goodbye kiss on her forehead. If I skip the latter, she'll pester me about the entire day.

I held my head and heaved a sigh of exhaustion. "I kept my composure earlier, but damn… Maybe I really am a siscon? Mother, father forgive your foolish son…"

Well… whatever. Let's just finish tidying up. There's a lot of time left so I doubt I'd be late. But, today is her stage. I want to see her shine, so I'll go there on time today. After all, today is the entrance ceremony and my little sister's welcome address to our fellow new students.

Done with everything needed to do in the house, I also left short after preparing for school. I'm wearing my high school uniform for the first time so I'm a little excited about it (just a little, okay?). All we had in middle school was a basic navy blue "gakuran." And for me it was a little bland. Oh, a "gakuran" is a Japanese style uniform for middle schools. It consists of matching black pants and a tunic with five gold buttons and a standing collar. Of course, a sailor uniform was made for the girls to wear that time. So, for us to be wearing something new makes me feel giddy for some reason.

If you're wondering why Saint Stella Academy's uniform was modeled after a Japanese school, it's simply because one of HARMONIA's founding members was a Japanese. Strangely, I heard that when the uniform matter was brought up, no one argued against it and was pretty well accepted. They don't have any ulterior motives about that, do they? Also, the current headmaster of the school was a Japanese.

Anyways, men's romanticism is cool outfits! Black naval-type uniform, with crimson linings. Long sleeves with a matching red-black neck tie. The school insignia was placed on its chest part, while the ability rank was shown on the left shoulder. Yours truly was proudly....an F-rank. Sorry to disappoint, but I am not some super handsome, overpowered lightnovel protagonist that one could read about in their fiction books. If ever, my sister was the one overpowered.

Walking through the streets of Saint Ilse was an interesting experience. Today was the first day of spring, so when one goes down the route to school, petals of cherry blossoms fall, creating a scene as if cut out of a movie. The eerie mood contributes to the gorgeous perspective of the surrounds. Looking at this offers you forget that this was an enigmatic island formed by a comet's disaster.

"Hero Stella was really something, eh." I muttered, genuinely impressed.

"What are you spacing out for? Quick or you'll be late for the entrance ceremony."

Taking my time and enjoying the exquisite view of the surroundings, I heard a sharp voice from behind.

"Miss Reina…"

She glared at me sharply. As if trying to pierce through my clothes.

"Sloppy as usual, I see." She finally saie.

"Well, yep. That's my specialty, after all."

"Tsk. You really are irritating."

Hey, did she just clicked her tongue?!

The girl in question squinted, even more than she did earlier. What, did I hit a nerve?

"And so, what is the great Student Council president doing outside the campus at this important moment?" I asked.

"That's none of your business. Ah, I see. You seem to be in a foul mood, but I know why. Your little sister is not with you. What, she finally realized how nasty you are?"

She's wrong though. In one way or two. What bad mood? I am actually having fun.

"Unfortunately for you, my great senior, we just had our breakfast earlier. Also, she loves me more than anyone on this world."

What's wrong with this girl. She seemed more annoyed than usual. And what does she get venting all her frustrations on me.

"Did anyone told you that this sister complex of yours is really gross?"

"Yep, and I loved it!"

"You really are hopeless!"

Unable to bear it any longer, she rushed ahead with a vein bulging on her forehead. What did this girl even want from me?

As she was getting further, I called back,"Hey, Reina."

"What?!"

She's angry and yet she still stopped to look back. What an nice girl she is.

"Good morning."

I said with a grin only to find her turn around in hurry. What, was she embarrassed about that? Well now, how cute.

"Idiot. You could have just said that from the very start."

I see. So, she wasn't annoyed. She's sulking. I find it strange for girls to be dishonest with their feeling, and Reina was a great example of them.

"Ah... Hey, you fool. I almost forgot." She paused to look back. "Father wants to see you later in his office. You are to be expected there after school."

I furrowed my brows at her words.

"What for?"

"Don't know. Well, that's all. Knock yourself out and die."

"Ah, hey!"

She could have just said goodbye. What, is she planning on being a sulky character all the time? That Yamada Reina.

Yamada Reina was the current student council president. A year older than me. She's a beautiful girl with a wavy long black silky hair. She's 169cm tall with a model like body style. Her chest was also big. Yep she passed the boob test. We lived together for two years before I was able to study here in Saint Ilse, but that was a tale of another time.

"But, man… what does that old man want from me at this timing?" I pondered.

Then, as I was m thinking this, a sudden realization hit my mind.

"Wait, did that Reina went her way just to tell me that?"

And she was pouting because I called her Miss Reina? That makes her a really dishonest girl to boot. And perky too. "That's cute, though."

I may look really creepy right now—smiling to myself.
