A certain girl hid behind a tree's capable trunk. It was Reina.
She made it seem like a coincidence, but she had been waiting for him to go out of his home since early that morning.
That night before, Reina received a notice from her father noting that she was to inform the boy that he's to be summoned. Reina was itching to go to his house that exact moment but she stopped herself from doing so... she was having the following thoughts; "1. What if he thinks that I'm a creepy woman for coming to their house this late at night?2.What if he thinks that I am just making excuses to see him? (True).
3. What if he's already asleep? and/or
4. Maybe I'll be just a bother?"
In others words, she was having a cold feet.
Reina certainly was in her wits end. But the most important part of it all is her desire to see him.
Reina was the students council President. An extension of her duty from her middle school days. And because of this, she was rather busy with school stuff and any other things that are related to school issues and so on. As a result, she barely had to no time at all to visit him and his sister. Now that the winter break was over, she was having an awkward feeling to face him. Even though they were supposed to be childhood friends who lived together for a certain length of time.
And so, after the (not so many) thoughts that she had, she decided to come in the morning. She has been waiting for him since 5 o'clock, literally in the break of twilight.
Time scaped and it was already past 8. Though, the cans of coffee she had gathered piled up to her side.
The first to go out of the door was the beautiful little sister. She seems to head out first since she has a duty of welcoming the new students. Well, Reina has too, but she has her priorities.
Sofy had her friend waiting for her, so Reina hesitated to greet her and ended up not doing so. She even hid herself behind the tree.
After a while, the boy finally went out.
Her face suddenly flushed by the sight of this young boy, and even though it was early spring, her face was becoming so hot. Her eyes were glued to him.
The boy was rather sloppily dressed, his bed hair was terrible, and his tie was rather crooked. Not that he had any other choice. That was his first time wearing a necktie. But no matter how lame he seems to dress-up, Reina's eyes sparkled in his every movement.
"He's just so cool." She squealed to herself.
Yes. Yamada Reina was contacted by a strange illness. She was blinded by the light...
On the other hand, the boy was taking his time. Slowly walking amidst the rain of petals of the cherry blossom trees. This only made Reina's heart skip a beat and thunped even louder. It was as if he was a protagonist in a drama that Reina had taken a liking to. He just looks so cool in her eyes (if only in her eyes.) It was as if he was walking in a slow motion while the petals are downing on to him. (only in her eyes...)
"Ah!"
Before she knew it, the academy was already in sight. So, to not look like she was following him (even though she really did), she sneaked right next to him while he was lost in a daze by the picturesque scenery.
"What are you spacing out for? Quick or you'll be late for the entrance ceremony." She said skillfully.
"Miss Reina..."
What's with him?! This is the first time we met each other in months and he would call me that?! Miss Reina?!
She thought as she stared at him intently. But inside she was already pouting.
"Sloppy as usual, I see."
(You're so cool!)Note: Only in her eyes.
"Well, yep. That's my specialty, after all."
"You really are irritating."
(How lovely that you're not bothered about it. Ah I want to see you more. Let's be together every day!) Note: She was blinded the light.
Reina squinted. She stared her fill of him.
"And so, what is the great Student Council president doing outside the campus at this important moment?"
"It's none of your business. Ah, I see. You seem to be in a bad mood, but I know why. Your little sister is not with you. What, she finally realized how nasty you are?"
(I want you to think of me too.) Note: That was her true intentions. She was just jealous.
"Unfortunately for you, my great senior, we just had our breakfast earlier. And she loves me more than anyone in this world."
She's venting her frustration because she wants him to notice her too. That's her real intention.
"Did anyone tell you that this sister complex you have is really gross?"
(Think of me too!)
"Yep, and I loved it!"
"You really are despicable!"
(And cute!) Note: This girl was just... hopeless...
(I have to go. If not I'll go crazy!)
She stomp her way ahead. Escaping her own embarrassed self.
"Hey, Reina."
"What?!"
Reina stopped in her track. Not because she's obligated to, but because he called her by her name.
"Good morning."
He greeted with a wide grin on his face. It was just a simple "good morning," but for her it was the best thing to note despite being in a fantastical scene.
"Idiot. You could have just said that from the very start."
She quickly turned around from him, hiding her coloring cheeks. A smile broke a little on her enticing lips.
"Ah, hey you fool I almost forgot. Father wants to see you later in his office. You are to be expected there after school."
For Reina, what matter first is to see him. The order from her father comes after.
"What for?"
"Don't know. Well, that's all. Knock yourself out and die."
"Ah, hey!"
She then left. Obscure to him and no one knows how happy it made her to be able to talk to him and see him smile.
No one was able to see her precious smile, a big loss for the world, as she went her way to the Academy.
