After the Fine Arts class, it was time for our Technology class, and our teacher, Haruki Mori, introduced himself to the class.
"Good morning, everyone. My name is Haruki Mori, and I'll be your Technology teacher for this academic year in Class 1-A."
As we settled down, Mr. Mori began discussing the introduction to Information Technology. I tried to focus on the lesson, but my mind kept wandering back to the encounter with Nana and the reactions of my classmates. It was surprising to see our tutor as a teacher at Ouran Academy, but it seemed that fate had brought us together once again. I couldn't help but feel a sense of joy, despite being the puppet heir controlled by my parents. There was something exhilarating about playing with my classmates' emotions and adding excitement to the situation.
Amidst my thoughts, Mr. Mori announced a group activity for the next lesson.
"Alright, class, we're going to have four members choose your teammates for a presentation in the next lesson."
I observed my classmates as they formed groups, with Kaito and his friends teaming up and preparing for the activity. However, I realized that I would have to face a potential challenge when it came to selecting three members for my group. The three girls, Catherine, Aina, and Kanna, who had shown interest in me before, were undoubtedly going to vie for the opportunity to be in my group. I anticipated a war of jealousy and competition.
"I want to report with Adrian in this part," Kanna said, her eyes fixed on me.
"No, I want to report with Adrian in that part too!" Aina chimed in, her voice tinged with jealousy.
"I-I also want to report with Adrian. It would be like a dream come true," Catherine said, her face turning red with embarrassment.
Their voices echoed in my mind, and I knew that if they were all in the same group, it would be a recipe for disaster. The chemistry between them was practically non-existent, and I could already envision the arguments and power struggles that would arise. Hoping to avoid the impending chaos, I silently wished for someone else to invite me into their group. I closed my eyes and muttered to myself, hoping that my wish would come true.
"Please, someone, invite me."
However, as I looked around, no one approached me. My classmates avoided making eye contact, as if they were afraid to invite me. Their gazes shifted nervously towards the three girls —Catherine, Aina, and Kanna, The intensity of their stares made others back off, as if they were facing three ancient demon queens who would unleash their wrath if someone dared to approach me. It seemed that fate had decided that I would have to endure the drama and chaos of working with them. I resigned myself to this fate and prepared to face the challenges ahead.
Eventually, I mustered the courage to approach Catherine.
"Catherine, would you like to be a member of my group?" I asked, trying to maintain a composed demeanor.
"Yes, I would love to," Catherine replied, her eyes sparkling with joy as if her wish had come true.
I then turned to Aina and Kanna. "Aina and Kanna, would you like to join my group as well?"
"Of course! You should be the leader, Adrian!" Kanna proclaimed proudly.
"Thank you for inviting me. I'll cherish this opportunity and make it an achievement," Aina said, her tone filled with determination.
With Catherine, Aina, and Kanna in my group, we formed our team of four. I quickly jotted down our names on a small sheet of paper:
Group 4 members:
Adrian Asendorf - leader
Catherine Fontaine
Aina Kishita
Kanna Takahashi
I submitted the paper to Mr. Mori and looking around the classroom, I noticed that the other five groups, including Kaito, Yana, Hayate, Katashi, and Mira, had also submitted their papers. Mr. Mori then assigned each group a topic related to the introduction of information technology. Our group was assigned to report on the "Internet of Things and its Impact."
I felt a sense of relief knowing that this topic would be relatively easy for me, even if I had to work with the three girls. However, being the leader meant I had to divide the tasks among the group members. As we gathered in a circle, I assigned the roles.
"Catherine, please do the research, and then send it to Aina. Aina, you'll be responsible for creating the PowerPoint presentation. Kanna, you can assist Catherine with the research," I instructed.
"What about you, Adrian? What will you do?" Aina asked.
"Well, my task is easy. I'll just supervise while you all work. Being a leader has its perks!"
Aina, however, protested, "That's cheating! Next time, I want to be the leader!"
"Yeah, it's not fair!" Kanna added.
I chuckled, realizing that their objections were valid.
"Well, I suppose my task is relatively easy. I'll research the Internet of Things, and it will be done in no time once I get home." Catherine expressed her satisfaction with the division of tasks.
With our meeting concluded, we returned to our respective seats, ready to face the last class.
As the class progressed and other groups wrapped up their discussions, they rearranged the chairs and returned to their seats. When the bell finally rang, signaling the end of the Technology class, we all stood up and said in unison, "Goodbye and thank you, Sir Haruki."
He nodded in acknowledgment and left the classroom. With only one class remaining, I turned to Catherine and remarked, "Just one more class to go, and then we can finally go home. I'm exhausted."
Catherine, her tone tinged with jealousy, replied, "Ah, the last subject. She's here again."
"Indeed, the last subject, and here she comes," I remarked, fully aware of whom she was referring to.
As the door swung open, Nana Sato, the red-haired beauty, walked into the classroom once again, she would be our teacher, this time for Physical Education. and it seemed like destiny had brought us together yet again.
"Well, it seems we meet again, Adrian," she said with a smile, greeting me from the teacher's desk.
And with her arrival, the stage was set for another fateful encounter, leaving me eager to uncover what awaited me in the upcoming Physical Education class.
