————————-

"Hey."

"Hey, I know you hear me."

I ignore the voice.

"Open… your eyes…"

I ignore the voice.

"…Hey."

"Open… your eyes…" The voice becomes more forced.

(Authors note: I wonder who will get this reference?)

I smile slightly, despite me trying my hardest not to. I force the smile off my face and continue to try and 'sleep'.

"Wake up, you need to go to school."

I groan, despite the fact that she won't fall for it, while also completely giving up the facade that I am asleep. "I really don't feel well, ma."

"Bullshit, now you go and brush your teeth, and I'll make you breakfast. I'm not waking your ass up anymore, your 16 now!"

I laugh at how casual she is with me and try to sit up. Immediately, my vision blurs from moving too fast.

"Ugh, that wasn't smart," I complain as I groggily reach for my phone.

"And how the hell did that creepy shit I did not bolt you straight up?"

"You have a distinct voice." I reply simply. She didn't exactly have what you would call a 'creepy voice' either.

She closed the door as I reached for my phone.

(6:12AM)

(1 Notification from Webnovel, I Am Your Clock! Released a new chapter, Ch 1: Time is Relative.)

I groan a little at the screen blinding me, then I rip the blanket off of me and grabbed some clothes at random. Thankfully, today, all of the clothing matched. I got a deep black pair of shorts and a white shirt, along with gray socks.

Although you won't see the underwear, it is absolutely imperative that you know that they are pink.

Totally important to the story.

I head into the bathroom to change and do my daily hygiene. Far more convenient to shower, then change over change then shower, right?

I turn the knob in the shower as soon as I enter, not cause I am some saint who doesn't laze around, but cause I overslept.

I look into the mirror, as I change into my new clothes after my shower. A face without pimples greets me. Do you think I'm handsome? Guess what? I'm not! The only reason I'm not pimply is because I put effort into my hygiene! Not everyones handsome, asshole!

Although, you can't say I don't have some 'Attractive' features. I personally quite like my relatively sharp jawline and deep blue eyes, despite the fact that others say they make me look like a serial killer. My blonde hair, despite being wet down by the shower, was still wavy, and my stubble beard gave me a slightly unkempt look that I quite enjoyed.

Huh.

I like looking unkempt and I look like a serial killer, huh?

Never thought those two might be connected for some reason. It's probably why, too!

Don't really care though. It's not really my problem if you don't like how I look.

I ignore that thought and grab my toothbrush. I pulled up my phone too, thinking that I should read that new chapter while I brush.

However… It only had a few sentences.

"What the fuck?" My voice was quietened by the toothpaste in my mouth. "Is this what authors consider 'High Quality Writing', huh?"

It simply read, 'I never expected to have made it this far.

I thought I would have been dead long before I reached here.

I have a question.

Do you ever think that you would be a better Main Character in any of the novels you have read?

Have you ever thought 'If I got that chance, I would take it?'

Don't.

Just don't.

This life is far harder than it looks.

As someone who lives that life, you should take it from me.

However, its not based on what you consider you getting a 'chance'

Sure, theres a chance, but thats not how it works.

That 'Chance' is not a free choice.

If you are 'Chosen', thats who you are now.

You don't get to decide to accept or decline.

Even worse, it can happen to anyone.

Anyone can transmigrate.

Anyone can reincarnate.

I have a better question.

Do you think you can be me?'

I shudder a little at that end. I spit out my toothpaste, and say, "Alright, I take it back, that was decently well written."

I set down my toothbrush and turn on the faucet, trying to rid my mouth of the last minute of the toothpaste.

I finish up in the bathroom and headed out to the kitchen.

"The food looks delicious, ma." I complemented the masterpiece in front of me; Simple eggs, bacon and toast.

"Too bad you ain't getting any, haha!" She laughed.

"What? Why?" I say confused, thinking she's fucking with me again.

"Look at the clock!" She smiles.

I turn around to look at the microwave.

(6:59AM)

"Oh, you're right." I say, not particularly panicked, as the bus doesn't arrive until 7:10, but I definitely don't have time to eat, now.

I grab a few pieces of bacon and a slice of toast and put it on a paper plate. Leaving it by the front door, I go finish up everything I need to do; I grab my bag, I grab a gatorade, fuck energy drinks, that shit just makes you stupid, and I grab a pair of bronze knuckles.

Never know what might happen, right?

I'd rather have it and not need it, then need it and not have it.

I grab my plate. "I'm leaving, ma!"

My mother comes walking over, "Alright, love you," she says simply, while hugging me,

"Love you too!" I reply as I return the hug and headed out the door.

I smile at the trees that surround my house, slowly regaining their lost leaves, rain slowly dripping from the sky above.

"A beautiful day!" I think aloud.

I take my first step into another day!
