Damien shifted in his stool out of nervousness, but still kept his eyes trained on Olivers face.
Oliver looked at Damien and cleared his throat, "How did you track me down?"
Damien looked taken a back and got closer to Oliver,"I'll do anything for you Oliver."
Damien grabbed Olivers hand and nuzzled it,"How can I leave you alone after—"
Oliver took his hands back and placed it on his lap. Still facing Damien; he turned to look at plants then looked back with an absentminded look. "Your turn."
"Do you know these plants?"
"Goblin eaters, a noise sensitive plant. It looks like your everyday cabbage, but a slight noise will get their roots around you. Not really harmful to humans as they are to small; though they still can cause slight danger as they bite. They have a mouth beneath all those leaves full of teeth that chomp at you."
Damien leaned on his hand and looked at Oliver while he was preaching. This is the only way he could think of talking to Oliver without resistance. Once Oliver was finished Damien said, "Onto the second question."
Oliver kept leaning back and he moved his head side to side in contemplation. He did not want to seem curious and give the wrong idea to Damien. As Damien was already giving him the puppy eyes multiple times, and he didn't want to give into peer pressure.
"How is your little sister?"
Damien laughed and said,"She's going to high school now! Emily doesn't want to get to close to her big brother now that she's grown up!" He pouted and squinted his eyes.
Damien tried to act cute to appease Oliver; as he knew his looks was one of the ways to get to Olivers heart. And he was right about that, as Oliver was a sucker to good looks.
Those almost white strands of hair fluttered everywhere to his face, shoulders, and arms. It reached all the way up to his waist, and he was 6'4, so it was quite a way to go. To Oliver it took him back to his younger days where they were running around in that god forsaken castle.
Oliver closed his eyes and Damien chuckled out," Are you still in touch with your family?"
The cheerful atmosphere disappeared in an instant. Damien tried to justify himself," Look I've tried to ask them multiple times about you but they've always saying that they don't receive contact from you so—"
"Damien, are you perhaps taking their side?"
"No, this isn't about sides, I just don't think its good for to be left alone."
"Look, Damien, I know you won't stop your pestering, so I'll just tell you something now."
Oliver took took a deep breath and yawned,"I don't keep in touch with them ever since then. I proved to be a danger to the young master so they've kicked me out." He stood up and stretched
"But you weren't a danger to me-"
Oliver interjected, "Do you want to know something else?"
He leaned down and whispered to Damiens ear, "The young master didn't want me neither."
Damien was left sitting still and looking straight ahead as Oliver left the security booth quietly.
Oliver thanked the gods that there weren't any twigs and the ground was completely clean of any noisy objects. He roamed around the plants and thought how the teachers thought it was suitable to let first years take this on alone.
What if they didn't know about this plant or read the signs?
Oliver went around to the outermost border to watch out for anything that is not supposed to be in here.
It was time for second period, and Oliver did not see Damien around. Maybe he was to shocked from the words, but it had to be said. Hopefully this deters him for a couple of days. The security came around and nodded to Oliver, so Oliver took that as a sign that he could leave.
Oliver attended the rest of his classes with a calm mind. It slipped from his mind that he had to meet up with that girl, so he decided to go after school.
Oliver walked to this two story complex; one of the outside walls were full of vines that were very thick and bushy. Despite it being part of the campus, this building seemed to be in its own little world. There were large dark oak trees surrounding it; blocking it from the rest of the campus. The trees gave the building a nice shade, which leaves it feeling fresh. Since it was room 201, Oliver assumed it was on the second floor. And he was right, once he got closer there was a dim light coming out the blurred windows.
He knocked on the old tin door, and someone quickly opened the door with a loud creek.
Natasha beamed and said, "I thought you would never come!"
Oliver didn't move in till Natasha signaled him to come in. The place was nicely put together and had a homely feel to it. The walls were a light pastel pink; there was also a bunch of shelfs filled to the brim with nick knacks. One of the walls were filled with posters about different places like restaurants or countries. In the middle of the room; there was a table and six chairs surrounding it. Natasha motioned towards the table and both of them sat opposite of each other.
Natasha started, "So the specific amount of members that we need to pass requirements is two more members."
She cleared her throat, "Even though we have three more days, I have an action plan."
"If you go to each of your classes and promote the club; we should surely get those two members."
Oliver didn't want to mention his bad reputation, because it was easy to say then to do.
Oliver cleared his throat, "I'll try my best Natasha, but I can't guantee the results you want okay?"
Natasha nodded and smiled, "While you do that; I'll be advertising in my classes and around campus."
"But before you leave please sign this official registration paper, please. Also, tomorrow if you can meet with me after school- it would be nice!"
Oliver nodded and waved goodbye as he stepped out.
Natasha was alone and sighed as she looked at the registration sheet of Olivers.
She looked up at the board with all the little pictures of students of past years, "Seniors, I'm keeping this club alive!"
Natasha did a fist and bumped the air with eyes of determination.
