Now the piece of paper contained a map and the list of ten items that Ms. Rosemary wanted.
According to the map, this little hunt started at the library which was at the back of academy, isolated from most crowd.
Going to the library consisted of going through intricate hallways. These hallways were very intricate as they maintained the original castle design, which was designed to confuse intruders and lose them if they were ever chasing important figures.
After getting lost a couple of times, Oliver managed to get to front doors of the library. The library door was made out of thick slabs of dark oak wood carved with designs of leaves boarding the outer edges.
He put his weight on the doors which creaked them open. The inside consisted of three stories of walls lined up with bookshelves; on each floor there was about a couple of steps of space that were guarded by railings. These spaces extended all the way across the walls, and they would also extend across the room to meet up in the middle where a spiral staircase is situated. On the ground floor, there were tables scattered all over in a neatly ordered manner. The light in this room was mainly produced by lamps as there weren't any windows. At the entrance of the door was this 'L' shaped desk that had an elderly man behind it.
The elderly man slowly looked up and grunted at the sight of Oliver.
"Young man, please sign in and produce a student ID."
Oliver wrote down his name and showed the old man his lanyard that showed his face and name.
The old man nodded and turned back to his book.
Oliver walked around and started pulling some books to examine.
'The adventures of crows'
'Three: mana channels'
'passive v. aggressive: styles of mana'
Oliver read the books as he was passing by and started to thinly stretch out his mana to the thinnest quantity he could do. Which seemed unnoticed by the people in here as they didn't bat an eye to Oliver.
So Oliver went about looking for an item called 'The letter of Smith'. He thought that maybe it was in a book, but he couldn't get a read on the room. In the room there is around seven hotspots that hovered around some areas; some close and some far from each other. (And plus he is not familiar with the mana of the item.) Oliver wasn't so good at molding his mana to precisely locate something. He started at the ground level near the back where one of the hotspots were located. The hot spot was located between two desks; that so happened to be to a whole bookshelf.
Oliver did a little huff and started to touch each book to physically read any trail of mana. It was only till it was a half a hour later that he found a light brown book called 'The Nightshade of Mana.'
He read a brief summary that talked about the different ways to poison or contaminate mana. Oliver decided to put this book in his satchel for a later read.
It took him a whole two hours to get through the rest when he found what he was looking for in between some pages of a book. It was a very dirty piece of paper that had markings on it that Oliver didn't understand. Oliver decided to check out the two books.
It was already the middle of the day when he decided to go the cafeteria to gobble on whatever they were serving.

These next few updates might be short as I don't have the strength to write for long. It's been so hectic so I've been trying to de-stress. And these goals are just not it for right now.
