ARSINOE'S POV
Its been three weeks since Christmas, the love has grown in a way I could not have imagined. These past few days I have been really tired and dizzy, maybe its because of how busy I have been and that's it. But Leo has been persistent that I should go see the doctor and since I have an hour free this afternoon I thought why not, maybe it will be best to get a check up just to be sure its not something that serious. Instead of going to the hospital, I had the doctor come over to the house instead. After a few checkups he asked when was the last time I got my periods, as if it mattered but I had to ask "Do you think that I might be pregnant?, well if you must know I am only four days late, which I doubt makes any difference my menstrual are never regular" I said but he was not quite convinced "Just to be certain ma'am I think i will need to run a test since every thing seems to be fine with you." It was weird that he had even come with home pregnancy test kit but at that moment he handed it to me I did not think much of it and took the test.
" Congratulations. You are pregnant Ma'am, you will need to come by the clinic so that we can know for sure how far long you are." "Wait, Pregnant, so what you are saying is that I am pregnant? we need to run the test again, I refuse to accept the results." it should be the best news but right now I don't think its the best news at the moment, "okay ma'am" he handed two more kits to me and both of them gave the same results. The entire time my head making all these calculations as should I let Leo know or now might not be the best time. We have had a really hard time these past few weeks with the organization, opposition has risen from opponents, with this news I think everything might turn even worse than the way they should be. That afternoon I decided to stay back home, trying to think whether its a good idea to keep the baby or get rid of it. No matter what the decision might be, I knew I had to involve Leo on this. I took my phone trying to find his number but as if he could connect with me telepathically, his name popped up on my phone's screen, "Is everything okay?" I was silent for a moment before I responded, "We have something to discuss, can you come home?" "I'm on my way." he said.
LEO'S POV
When I got a phone call earlier informing me that Arsinoe is at home and to top it all the doctor was with her, I was a bit worried but her response on the call concluded everything. As soon as the call disconnected I rushed home not sure of what to expect. I found her at the garden, every time she wanted to think that's the place you'd find her. whatever she wanted to talk about, she clearly had an answer already. I walked to her and hugged her from behind, and the first thing she said is, "I am with child." And before i could get excited, she added, "The baby needs to go." "What! You've got to be joking, no." I said and she responded, "I know I sound selfish right now but now is not the right time." "Why isn't it the right time? This is actually the best time we get to have a mini us and strength in the organization." "No you don't understand, this might give us strength in the organization but our opponents will use this to bring me down." I could not believe what she just said. "Do you always have to think about you? For once just for once can you think about us and the baby?" "This is me thinking about us and the baby and everything, this will make me weak and they will use that, cant you see?" she said. Her reasoning did not make sense to me, even a single bit. "Then trust me to keep you safe, the same way you trusted us, i need you to trust this, please.
I k now that she has always to think a head and be on her defense mode but I need her to trust me, I know that might be hard for her right now but I will prove to her that this is the best thing for us. I held her so tight "Give the baby a chance, let me protect us, please." I was excited and at the same time scared because what she said is absolutely right, If our enemies find this out, they might use it to take us down. All I need is to show her that I will do everything in my power to make sure not only the organization safety but hers and the baby's too. "Lets go in, its not healthy for you and the baby to be out here in the cold" I said and her response made me laugh "oh so now you are acting as a father, how cue of you." "well I did promise to protect the both of you, cold is not an exception. I am here for eternity that i sure do promise and right now I have more to protect. For my family.
