I went out with Alex today, it felt like old times, Alex and I used to be so close, closer than leo. He knew all my secrets and I loved him, yes I loved Alex, but I never got the chance to tell him. When I heard they will be relocating I was hurt, Alex did not even bother to say goodbye but Leo did, he not only said goodbye but also told me how he felt for me, Even after Leo confessed his feelings for me, I had to tell him the truth but Leo is one who never takes no for an answer even after telling him, I liked someone else, so to make sure I remember him, he gave me half his pendant necklace. Years after, I had saved up enough money to travel to country A. Yes I was going to Leo's birthday party but also so I could tell the person I like how I felt.
Eleven years ago
I arrived in country A that day and since I already had his address I decided to suprise him. His mother welcomed me and later walked me to his room "Leo and Alex would be very happy to see you" "thank you aunty for having me hear, so where is Alex I haven't spoke to him ever since he left, I feel like he is upset with me" well that's what I had thought "Stop thinking much my dear Okay, let me get Leo for you" after saying that he entered into the room, signalling me to wait and after a few seconds she called me in.
I had missed both Leo and Alex a lot, so I wanted to spent enough time with both.After aunty left Leo and i talked, and i told him I was going to confess my feelings to Alex but he showed me a picture of Alex and another girl kissing, this got me really upset, but after many attempts of Leo, I decided to hurt Alex by doing what I thought he did to me. later that evening when I was looking for Leo, I could not find him, but I heard all he said about me, so I ran to the fountain, everyone knew what had happened between Leo and I and I just fell embarrassed and that's when I meet Alex. He as well knew but he looked at me differently which made me feel worthless, I could not face him so i had to go and clear everything with Leo but when I got there Leo rejected me plainly.
NOW
I thought to myself if Alex ever thought of me any differently than his younger sister, but as a woman, would he have reciprocated my feeling if I had told him. Leo has always been straightforward and I like that about him, but his not the one that makes my heart beat, my heart does not call out for him. With Alex, I find myself floating in air, everything feels so out of this world, when he held my hand earlier it did not feel like the way Leo does, just a touch from him made my entire body light up. I know this is super crazy, but I never sent any false information to Leo, he always came on to me and maybe I did receive his approach because I felt worse why Alex never loved me, was I not beautiful, or maybe not to his liking or something? I spent the entire evening and night thinking. If he never liked me when he was young and had nothing, what makes me think he would like me now, especially with my past🤦♀️. maybe I should just stop all this, pick the one that loves me, but what about my heart? I made a mistake once I can't repeat it once more.
Early that morning when I arrived at my office I called in Laura asking her "Laura do we have any projects with ZENDRICK Companies?" she gave me this questioning look before answering me "Well madam you did not accept there project yesterday, they were offering to be our contractors for the new Royal Empire Hotel up north remember" really why did I forget such a thing "Well call in a meeting with them and do inform them we accept" "But madam you haven't even read the project yet?" "Laura are you the boss or me?" "You Ms Alexandrea" she really knows how to get on my nerves "Good so you do as I say, schedule a meeting as soon as possible, even if its tomorrow". After my long day at work I decided to visit an old place, the waterfalls. It was a distance from here but I thought why not, I am my own boss. with that said I left all alone without any driver nor bodyguards, no one would hurt me over there so why not. it was a three hour drive and by the time I got there it was already 4 in the evening, I decided to take a deep, I had missed the water for a long time, I could hardly remember when. after swimming for a while, I could here a car engine, the waterfall was a bit far from the main road but who ever came here must have known this place in order to come with a car since regular cars would have a hard time reaching here because of the road. I was not really shakes but still decided to check who it was. When I got out of the water I did not go for my cloths rather I bend down and held a stone ready to hit whoever was going to show up, I know picking up a stone is the most dumb idea I could come up with but well, there were no weapons around apart from the stones so it had to work at least until I find out who it is then. As I was ready to through the rock I heard a voice "You never change do you?"
