Chapter 19 - 19| Great men of valour

Justin was at the rooftop taking some fresh air and sipping his glass of wine when he received a text from Priyanka that she was going to have her bath. They've been chatting for hours since they left the beach. He couldn't stop thinking of her for one minute, it was like she own the whole of him and without her, he couldn't do a single shit.

He texted her back, telling her he wished he was there with her in the bathroom, so he could skim those beautiful body with his hands. He kept the phone in his pocket and took another sip. Just then, Adela walked in. Looking so stunning in her baggy nightgown.

"How was dad's meeting?"

"Nice." She took his glass and took a sip. "It was a success. They talked about a lot of potential things coming up for the betterment of the people and the country."

Justin shook his head, "Great. I'm proud of dad. I told you, he doesn't needs me when he has a deputy. He could handle it alone."

"That aside." Adela changed the topic. "How is Priyanka? Did she get home safely?"

"Yes." He exhaled. "We were chatting a while ago before she said she wants to have a shower."

"Justin, she's too beautiful for one man."

What the fuck is she talking about? What is she insinuating? Justin is not liking that statement at all. "I don't understand, mom. What do you mean by she's too beautiful for one man? Is there a problem sticking with only me?"

Adela shook her head vigorously, "No, dear. Don't misquote me. What I meant is...there are a hundred guys out there hunting women like her. And Priyanka is so gorgeous looking. You know you guys are pest. You want to feed on something fresh. Priyanka is young, brilliant, beautiful, educated...you two are in a relationship but it still doesn't count. She's in college and what if someone walks up to her and engage her?"

The thought of another guy purposing to Priyanka made Justin furious. "God forbid. I won't let that happen, mom. Priyanka is mine and no one  can share her with me."

Pitying for her son, Adela sighed. "She's hundred percent super attractive. If I was a man, I'd have fought for her for myself today. Seriously, she is a charming princess. I'm not supposed to compliment my fellow woman but I admire beautiful things when I see one."

"So….. what's the drill, mother?"

"I think you have to take fast heed of your steps, Justin. Make it up to her, I don't need to tell you because I can see it in your eyes. You're just scared of rejection." She's right. He is deadly scared. "You gat me behind you, son. It'll be fine. Just go for it. I like her for a daughter in-law and now, I'm eager to meet her family."

Justin scratched the back of his head, "Well umm….I haven't met her family yet but um…"

"You haven't what?" Adela freaked out. "That is the first thing you're to do, Justin. They might start hearing things about you from their daughter but since they haven't seen you, they'll think you're just a scared dog."

"Mom, mom, relax, okay? I gat this." Already, he has spoken with Priyanka about meeting her parents and she said she was going to fix a date for that. "Am not hiding and am not scared, okay?"

"Just do the needful, I like her." She pouted her lips and Justin pulled her into his embrace. Stroking her hair. "She's the type of woman I want for you, she has the qualities even though she's what she is. No one will find out except we tell them, right?"

"I'll also fix a family dinner date where Dad and Francesca can meet her. I want them to see the love of my life."

Adela looked up at him, "Please do. I really want you to settle down soon."

"As you wish, dear mother." He kissed the top of her head.

...

Next morning...

Vedica was passing through the hallway with freshly ironed clothes in her arms, then she saw Rao coming out of his room. He has been out of the country for a week now and returned just yesterday midnight. He is supposed to be resting by now but he's keeping himself busy with those daily magazine.

Always a vibrant and active man.

He adjusted his glasses when he saw vedica. "Kya meree betee abhee tak chalee gaee hai? [Has my daughter left yet?]"

"Suprabhaat sar. [Good morning, sir]" She bow her head briefly. "Mainne use aaj subah se nahin dekha hai. [I haven't seen her since this morning.]"

"Theek hai aur meree patnee? [Okay and my wife?]"

"Vah aangan mein ek atithi ke saath hai. [She's with a guest at the patio.]"

"Theek. [Okay]" He nodded and made his way to the room nextdoor. "Priyanka?" He knocked. "Priyanka, kya aap abhee bhee andar hain? [Priyanka, are you still in?]" When there were no response, he entered the room and saw her lying lazily on the bed. He sighed and made his way to the bed. "Priyanka, utho, aaj tumhaaree klaas hai. [Priyanka, wake up you have class today.]"

The lad rolled on the bed, muttering words in her sleep. "Main aaj skool nahin jaana chaahata. Main thak gaya hoon. [I don't want to go to school today, I'm tired.]"

Rao frowned, "Kya tum paagal ho? Tumhen jaana chaahie. Uthana. [Are you crazy? You have to go, get up.]" And tap her again.

"Pitaajee, jaane do. Main aaj aaraam karana chaahata hoon. [Dad, let go. I want to rest today.]" She covered her ears with the pillows.

"Aaraam? Aaraam karen aur apanee prthvee vigyaan kee pareeksha mein asaphal ho jaen, usake baare mein kya khayaal hai? [Rest? Rest and fail your Earth science test, how about that?]"

"Mal! Mujhe bhaad mein jao! [Shit! Fuck me!]" She jumped out of bed, grabbing her backpack. "Pitaajee, aapane yaad kyon nahin dilaaya- he bhagavaan, main alaarm lagaana bhool gaya. [Dad, why didn't you remind—oh goodness, I forgot to set the alarm.]"

Rao placed his hands on his waist, shaking his head. "Aapake echodee ne mujhe phon kiya ki aap klaas mein nahin hain. Ek ghante pahale test shuroo ho chuka hai. [Your HOD called me that you're not in class. Test has started an hour ago.]" He glance at his watch, "9:06. mere draivar ke saath jao. [Go with my chauffeur.]"

She grabbed her keys, "Main apanee baik loonga. [I'll take my bike.]" And dashed out.

"Saavadhaan, aap naashta karana bhool gae. Aur aap apana phon bhee bhool gae. [Be careful, you forgot to have breakfast. And you forgot your phone too.]" Rao shouted and picked the phone from the bed's cupboard.

Looking at the phone's screen, he saw bunch of text messages from one chat. Her daughter didn't put a lock on her device, so he scroll over and started reading her chats from the beginning.

When he saw a picture of a guy and his daughter smiling with a peace sign at the beach—not in mermaid form. He stare at it intently, zooming the photo. He sat at the edge of the bed, finding it interesting to look at. He adjusted his glasses, getting a good view of the guy then he took out his phone from his pocket and quickly type something on the browser.

What the web gave to him made him eager to know more. He clicked on an article that took him to the biography of the guy. So many pictures of the guy on web but there were no women around him in all of the photographs. Rao admit that the guy is stunning, good looking, hot, beefy, brawly, muscular, tall and fit.

He has never seen his daughter with a guy before, infact, she doesn't have friends or anyone coming to ask after her. She doesn't keep company and she study's alone. He is really eager to know how long this has been going on with the son of the president. How did she meet him? Where? He wondered how his daughter crossed boundaries to a higher peak.

He scroll over again, looking for more details about the guy. He really like him for his daughter. Come on, every father wants what's best for his daughter. His daughter deserve great men of valour like this guy. He hope he has all the qualities he needs for a son in-law because he's ever ready to interview him when his daughter will introduce him to the family.

How come? The guy is thirty but still looks like twenty-five? So young and has achieved so many success. No wonder his name is always the first on the top list. He admits that he is a millionaire but this guy is a multi trillionaire and he's still making things happen. This are the type of men he needs for his daughters, someone who is greater than him and not the gold digging type like his daughter Mitali's boyfriend, Suresh Gopi.

Just remembering that guy's name wanna make him faint. The guy only loves his daughter for what she has. He doesn't have anything to offer. He keeps pressuring her for money, for this, for that—he knows things aren't easy for Mitali in Delhi. But the lad won't talk about it. She'd rather keep it private.

From the day he set his eyes on him, he knew he wasn't the type of guy for his daughter. Poor guy who wants a rich girl, why don't he go find his type? He has declined—infact, his son, Purab, has declined their relationship a million times. He has beaten Suresh a thousand times but the guy is just too stubborn to step out. And his daughter Mitali would die for the love she has for him.

He really wish he could pull that guy out of his daughter's life for good.
