SEASON 3 CHAPTER TWO
Men, prepare for a defensive formation!
Yes, sir!
The soldiers under Junaid's command promptly followed his orders. The general also engaged in a conversation with the chosen hero, discussing their respective roles in the imminent battle against the monsters.
It appears that the monsters are drawing nearer. Everyone, assume your positions and maintain formation," the General commanded.
Without delay, each soldier took their stance as the monsters approached. From the skies above, the creatures hurled their spears towards the army, aiming to breach the protective barrier shielding the village.
"Casters, erect a magic barrier!" the General ordered.
Sir!
The casters promptly created the barrier as instructed. However, the monsters persisted in their relentless assault, attempting to break through the initial line of defense and reach the village.
Amidst the chaos of the battle, Danhan, a seasoned warrior, experienced a familiar sensation from his past during the war. His gaze fell upon the students who were once classmates of Max. Filled with anger, Danhan exuded a newfound aura atop the hills.
"So, these are the individuals the young man spoke of. It seems someone has gone out of their way to bring these outsiders here.
Very well, I shall assist them in helping the monsters. If it means sacrificing the village, so be it," Danhan declared.
Danhan sought to understand the extent of his newfound abilities and powers with his transformed body. After some exploration, he discovered a few skills that could aid the monsters. Raising his hand towards the creatures, he began to chant incantations.
"Auto-healing!"
In that moment, the wounds of the injured monsters began to mend, making the task of defeating them even more challenging for the Junaid army.
"General! The monsters are healing themselves through an unknown power," one of the soldiers reported to Junaid.
Impossible! Where are they acquiring such immense power from? Heroes, one of you must locate the source of this power and eliminate it," the general commanded.
"Understood, General," the heroes replied.
Cristabel, the group's caster, utilized her skill known as "Senser" to pinpoint the origin of the power that was healing the monsters.
Fortunately, she successfully identified the source and relayed the information to her comrades.
"Very well, Cristabel. Leave this to us, Dominic and Berry. Let's go," Zen, the leader of the heroes, declared.
The three heroes swiftly made their way towards the source. After hours of running, they finally stood face to face with Danhan, who was seated on the ground atop a hill, observing the events unfolding below. Without hesitation,
Zen pointed his sword directly at Danhan, without uttering a single question. Danhan, upon witnessing this, rose to his feet.
"It is quite courageous of you all to venture here without even knowing what you are up against," Danhan remarked.
"You are nothing more than a monster disguised as a human," Zen retorted.
Danhan chuckled.
"Outsiders truly possess an inflated sense of self-importance. At least one of you is somewhat decent," Danhan remarked.
"What is he talking about?" Berry questioned.
"I believe it is of little importance. What truly matters is putting an end to his ability to heal those monsters," Zen stated.
"Do not make me laugh. You all can barely prove yourselves in a fair fight against your own kind," Danhan taunted.
"Dominic, Berry, prepare yourselves for battle," Zen commanded, gripping his sword tightly in preparation for an attack.
"Very well. It is time to witness what you are truly capable of. Answer my call and tear your master's enemies to shreds," Danhan declared.
"Summon [Black Blood Hounds]!"
Saying that a group of darkened hounds emerged from the earth, standing before Danhan in equal numbers, the tension in the air was palpable. "Now we can begin the real fight, boys attack," Danhan commanded, his voice steady and determined.
Zen and his teammates braced themselves for the battle ahead. "Everyone ready, let's go!" Zen exclaimed, his eyes fixed on the approaching hounds.
With swords drawn, the group charged forward, their movements fluid and precise. Zen struck out with a holy strike, but the hound deflected it with ease, sending the sword flying into a nearby tree.
Frustrated and angry, Zen tried to fight back, but his opponent was too strong. The hound roared, sending Zen flying into the woods. With a stealthy approach, the hound landed a series of punches on Zen's face and stomach, leaving him reeling.
Desperate to defend himself, Zen reached for his sword, but it was kicked away by the hound. In agony, he crawled towards it, but the hound sent it flying deeper into the forest.
"My holy sword, how am I this weak against a monster?" Zen cried out in pain.
Just as the hound was about to deliver the final blow, Dominic stepped in, casting a barrier over Zen and sending the hound backwards with a powerful attack. With renewed determination, Dominic began casting his own powers, ready to take on the hounds and defend his comrades.
Dominic, utilizing one of his abilities, employed spirit chains to immobilize his adversary, rendering them unable to move.
Regrettably, the foe managed to halt the advancement of the chains by striking them with its fist, leaving Dominic astonished by the unexpected outcome.
The black blood hound, now facing Dominic, charged forward with a forceful blow from its sharp claws, prompting Dominic to erect a protective barrier around himself.
"These creatures are truly formidable. I have yet to discern their weaknesses," Dominic remarked, expressing his frustration.
Meanwhile, Berry proved to be a formidable opponent, making it difficult for his foe to retaliate.
"Multi-strikes!" Berry exclaimed, employing his skill to unleash a barrage of arrows towards the black blood hound. However, his adversary skillfully evaded the projectiles by maneuvering through the forest.
On the sidelines, Danhan carefully observed the fighting style of his adversaries. Down the hill, the general and his men were struggling to combat the relentless onslaught of the monsters.
The intense battle raged on for hours, until an unforeseen event occurred. The gateway to the underworld free zone reopened, unleashing another army of monsters that charged towards the small village from a distance.
Zen, growing increasingly frustrated, relentlessly struck his opponent with his sword, but to no avail.
"Damn it! I cannot land a single blow on this creature," Zen exclaimed in frustration.
"Hmm, it appears that matters are about to become exceedingly grave," Danhan remarked, sensing the approaching army of monsters heading towards the small village.
