Chapter 8 - Creating the Tyrant

" Spare me - my stomach is going to explode at this point! "

I exclaimed as the bowl kept getting refilled with tomato soup - oh the horror!

" Sweetie, if you want to be strong you have to eat a lot. "

Retorted mother as she keep using the comically large spoon to pour more sloppy soup into my bowl of leftovers.

" I have already indulged myself on 3 portions! - anymore will make you convicted of murder your own child, just let me go already. "

I demanded and resisting their attempts at feeding me anymore - this is blasphemy against human ethnicity, i just know it!

" Son, your sister will be taller than you if you gave up on your nutritious tomato, you know? "

Remarked my dad as he does his habit of tilting his shiny glasses as a display of mysterious wisdom or whatever he called it -

Be that as it may, that's some serious opprobrious that i will die on this hill defending.

" Eyla had already left to her room - she hasn't even touched 3 portion yet, i'm calling falsehood on that story! "

" Fine, you're right - let's talk about your time at the academy today. If either of us catch you lying, back to tomato soup is what we're going to be doing the rest of the night. "

Spoke mother as she just get straight to the point -

I already noticed that they were severely worried for my well-being since it was rare to find an incident occuring at the 'Aptitude' test.

" What a waste of perfectly good food - but alright, i'll speak, i promise to not leave anything important out. "

I briefly explained about 'i happened to have a headache in the middle of the test',

The part where my sister visits me and her turmoil of wanting to be admitted to the academy - and we walked home.

Yes, i left out a lot of details but i didn't find them important, at least not worth mentioning to my parents, it's not a lie right?

"I see... be careful next time, sweetie - You can't always trust these people that only want the strongest warriors and just sit at their laboratory all the time. "

Said my mother while patting me on the back knowing i was uncomfortable with hugs -

As i stated intially, her coincide to have a bad perception when it comes to these confederation or the future insitutions.

"That's right! Trust your mother, she is the strategist in the household-"

Before my father could finished his sentence-

My mother had fiercely slapped him with a paper fan and mumbling something akin to ' don't mention the word related to violence in the household! '

While the love birds are having their mundane soap opera - i took a notice at the third person that didn't spoke nor intervene in our daily routine of bantering.

" Yid, how are you today? "

I started the conversation with an antler for ears woman in her 20s, She is wearing a housemaid gown with some metal platings on her arms.

"I am fine, young master - may your health be blessed with fortune for all the cosmic years. "

Soft spoken the maid with her eyes closed and keeping a smile at all time - at first it may intimidate any onlookers as if she was a villain from a superhero movie, but we picked her up from the street after presuming it was a stray cat that got left behind in a box.

Surprised we are, when we found out it was a person that got abandoned with damaged limbs, we took her in despite being an inferior middle-class at best, perhaps it was the virtue of a Leucognia.

All the same i concur with saving lives - they shouldn't be abandoned easily.

" Did anything happened at home? "

I asked her since it was our daily routine - i taught her some of the specialities i've read online for being a housemaid, one of them was reporting on my parents activities,

Don't ask why i did that - i wasn't sure either but she had those capabilities from my memories.

" Nothing abnormal happened aside from the young lady visiting the young master. "

"Good, keep it up - I'll be moving out today, keep my parents busy. "

I replied to her effortlessly while giving her my notice of absence since i'm going to do something i've planned to do a while now.

"Mother - father, i'll go hit the hay now. "

" Sure thing, make sure to not stay up too late tinkering! "

My father replied while my mother prepare for tommorow at work, since both of them need to financially support us twins and the maid - it was almost always busy time for them.

Soon i'll change that, is my desire for now.

**

The looming luminiscent light that enkindling over the table creating a warm workshop atmosphere.

I started writing drafts on my schematics and improving over the concept on my mind-map,

All while i owned a computer to calculate the measurement - the quantity and weight of the material usage.

' She has a preference for machines and robots right? I'll lean in on that concept while keeping her flexibility and athletics-in-mind. '

I made some finishing touches - and it reminded me of those virtual tubers designs,

Not that i have ever rigged one nor was it as advanced back then either.

Now back on topic, i will need an anonymous symbol that represent my will and wishes...that's right - I need to create a [ Tyrant ].

My sister was right - i just need an identity to cloak myself in to protect myself and my family.

One that will never kneel or obey, one that cannot fail or disappoint anyone.

Its not an idealistic hero or a peacekeeper that allowed temporary haven.

- A Tyrant that in control of the battle and protect the weak -

- To be the Strongest that oppress the strong -

'This is who i must be, that's what my will desires. '

I pondered and tempered every fiber of my being with this new ideation -

Making the necessary asthetics choice and calculated the mediums carefully with several recalibration, my hands trembled after entering in a hyper-focus state for a while.

As i looked into the distance, there was a prompt that grabbed my attention.

[ +1 Dexterity ]

" Oh, i nearly forgot i had you there. "

[Then, don't next time - it was somewhat of a chore to stay in the abyss while the Creator is having fun on his youthful adventures. ]

" My bad - i will be using you for this time anyway. "

It's midnight right now, it's about time i head out.

**

I went out of the window without attracting any inconspicious attention - since this route was already scouted and crafted by Yid.

I continued to the main plaza and to the craftsman district, the surrounding would be as you expected-

A noisy stalls that gave it an impression of those fish marketplace that would open at night except this would be selling some crude and affordable items in galores and maybe some outdated tech.

Regardless, i'm not here for that - looking for a some decent quality material that would give my mask a distinct durability and functionality in addition.

I observed some of the stalls, failed in finding on what i was searching for - only delved deeper in the district.

While it may seems dangerous,

There are enforcers that patrol these areas anyone looking to cause trouble would be apprehended.

*scratch* *scratch*

I heard someone scurrying and oddly enough - someone was running from the enforcers, he looked desperate enough to be a thief.

I glanced at his back before going about my business of finding a shopkeeper to buy from.

He disappeared into the shadow of the crowd where the guard seems to fall behind and unable to catch him - that's the end of that, i guess.

" That dang rodent nicking my precious metals! In'nit a stain to my sales records...! "

Spoke the brash boy with an accent that i didn't find it familiar here in the locals.

But he exclaimed those were metals right?

That perhaps implied on this encounter that he might be the one i'm looking for.

With some time, the guards returned to the boy and stated that they couldn't find the thief and apologized -

This obviously infurated him as the metals that he mentioned appeared to be precious enough to pressure him to personally seek it out.

What a good opportunity, i thought to myself.

**

" System, use Shadow Glimpse. "

[ I may have an understanding that you would never ask, but very well. ]

[ The skill will consume 10 points of mana. ]

' 10 meter away huh? Well, that was as far i can expect. '

" Proceed with it. "

Aldritch gave the confirmation as his vision slowly faded in darkness and after a blink -

Soon found himself to be watching a blurred back and the scenery reminicising of a garden, he appeared to be hiding in one of the relief camps.

" Isn't this the rest stop area? Oh, it's easy then. "

Aldritch went ahead to inform the guards of the house-camping thief - whom seems suspicious of his claims due to his age. But nonetheless attempt a search there as there were no other clues.

After a moment of waiting, the guard that Aldritch had spoke to had informed him of the arrested thief and thanked him for the assistance.

However Aldritch merely let it slide and just call it off as that - the primary goal was the brash boy that is currently inspecting the goods that was returned to him.

" Oi, that was awesome - fancy a chat, young lad? "

The brash boy took the initative as he recognized that Aldritch was his saving graces in returning the stolen goods to him.

" I was actually hoping for that, mister. "

Aldritch returned the gesture with humility, he knew that the boy may not be as simple than initially assumed.

" Hoho, straight to the point ain'cha? me like the honesty, so be it. "

The boy kept rambling on and on, he replied to him as he was looking for some materials for his creations - and finally the boy invited him to his shop if Aldritch was interested in taking a peek at his wares.

He nodded with certainty - since he was taking this trip to fulfill his ambitions, he wouldn't turn down an opportunity.

But he didn't realized the surprises that this encounter would gave him - would affect his decisions severely in the future...
