Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 His Betrayal

Chapter 1

I had spent the entire week carefully planning a surprise for my boyfriend, something that would make our anniversary unforgettable. It was going to be the perfect occasion to take our relationship to the next level, and I had decided to give him my virginity. I had never felt so in love and so nervous at the same time.

As I approached our apartment door, my heart was beating fast with excitement. But when I put my hand on the doorknob, I heard something that made my stomach churn.

"That's it baby. You're so good."

My mind raced as I tried to make sense of what I was hearing. Who was that voice? Was I hearing things? But her high-pitched moans confirmed that they were having sex.

My hand trembled as I opened the door and walked inside on my tiptoes. My blood froze when I realized that she was having sex with my boyfriend, Matt.

He was driving inside her fiercely as sweat beads formed on his bare chest. But I couldn't see her face, which must have been twisted in pleasure as she was approaching her limit.

Her hair draped down in curls and covered her face while she was on all fours on the bed, her hand gripping the sheets tightly.

"Oh, you're amazing. I'm... coming. Oh, don't stop," she moaned louder as Matt thrust inside her harder and harder. He knew all the right spots to touch and it was driving her wild. She grabbed onto the sheets and arched her back as the pleasure overwhelmed her.

"You're gorgeous," Matt said, grasping her butt as he pushed inside even deeper. She giggled and looked back at him, enjoying the attention.

"Really? Who's better, huh? Me or your girlfriend?" she asked teasingly, knowing the answer already.

"Don't mention her. Of course, you're much better than her. She's so rigid in bed. And when I touch her, she gets so nervous. I've never met such a boring woman," Matt replied, his voice filled with contempt.

"Oh," she pretended to feel sorry, but the smirk in her voice was undeniable. "No wonder you want me so much."

She giggled with venom and her voice sounded familiar to me. A fleeting thought crossed my mind, but I couldn't quite grasp it.

Matt leaned closer and grabbed her breast, "I know. That's why I called you here once I knew she left. You know what? If she wasn't David's daughter, I would have never looked at her."

As I stood there, hidden in the shadows, my heart shattered into a million pieces. I couldn't believe my beloved boyfriend, the man I loved more than anything, had just betrayed and humiliated me like this. The sight of him with another girl made me want to scream and cry at the same time.

David, my father, was the previous alpha of our pack before Matt took over. I knew I wasn't the most popular girl in town, and I always hoped to find true love. After my father died in battle, my world crumbled, and I nearly lost all hope.

But then Matt came into my life and became my only support, my rock. He saved me from my desperation, and I felt like my life had meaning again.

Unlike me, Matt was popular and the charming prince of many girls. They adored him and would do anything to be with him. But I couldn't blame them. Matt was the epitome of everything a werewolf should be - powerful, fierce, and undeniably attractive.

He was the alpha of our pack, the one who had taken over after my father's death. And I had foolishly believed that by loving him, by standing by his side, I could help him lead our pack to greatness.

But now I saw the truth. He had never truly loved me. He had used me to gain the support of the closest friends of my father, those who held significant sway in our pack.

I felt a hot surge of anger and sadness wash over me. How could he do this to me? How could he betray the trust and love I had given him so freely? I had thought he was my soulmate, my protector, my everything. But now, seeing him with that woman, I realized that I was just a means to an end for him.

The girl's high-pitched moans mixed with Matt's grunts filled the room, and I could barely stand it. It was like a knife to my heart. The tears streamed down my face, and I couldn't help but feel like a fool for not seeing this coming.

Anger, hurt, and betrayal consumed me all at once. I wanted to confront him, but as I stood there listening to their pleasure-filled moans, I realized that I couldn't bear it any longer. The sounds cut through me like a knife, twisting and turning inside me, tormenting me with every breath.

I stumbled backwards, feeling as though the ground was no longer beneath my feet. My eyes fell upon my bag, and without thinking, I let it drop to the ground, as if taking some dead part of my heart.

The bag's contents, the lingerie I had purchased earlier that day—the surprise I especially prepared for him, was now tossed like a piece of garbage on the floor. Abandoned and unwanted. Just like me.

Matt was startled by the sound, and he immediately stopped to check. "Who's there?" he called out, trying to see through the darkness.

"No one," her sickly sweet voice replied. "Come back to me." She reached out and wrapped her arms around his waist, reluctant to let him go.

Despite her words, a sense of panic welled up inside me for no reason, as though I was the one who had made a mistake. I couldn't confront him right now. My mind was a whirlwind of emotions, and I didn't know how to handle the situation.

Without thinking, I turned around and ran away as fast as I could. The humiliation and desperation threatened to drown me, but I refused to look back. I knew that whatever was happening behind me, I couldn't bear to face it.

As I sprinted through the darkness, my heart pounding in my chest, I couldn't help but replay the scene of their tangled limbs over and over again in my mind. The way they had looked at each other and their bodies entwined just made my stomach turn.

I knew that I couldn't do anything to change what had happened. All I could do was let my tears run down my face endlessly, as though they could wash away the pain and betrayal that I felt.

The pain in my chest was so intense that it felt like my heart was being torn apart. Where could I go? My mother had died when I was young, and after my father passed away, I had no family left. It was sad, but Matt was all I had. And now that he had betrayed me, I had no one to rely on in the world.

But there was one person who had always been there for me, my best friend Sophia. She had been a pillar of strength and support throughout my life, and I knew that she would take me in without a moment's hesitation. I would have done the same for her.

But the thought of turning to her now, with my red eyes and broken heart, was unbearable. I didn't want to talk to anyone about what had happened, not yet. I couldn't even bring myself to look at Matt, let alone tell someone else about what he had done.

The truth was, I was scared. Scared of what would happen if I spoke out, scared of the pain and the anger that would follow. It was easier to keep it all bottled up inside, to pretend that everything was okay, even when it wasn't.

As I stumbled through the streets, tears streaming down my face, I suddenly found myself standing in front of a crowded bar. The sound of laughter and cheers spilled out onto the street, and for some reason, it brought me comfort.

I had never been much of a bar person. I didn't like loud music or crowds, and I had always preferred quiet nights at home with Matt. But now, the thought of being alone was unbearable. I needed to be around people, to feel like I was a part of something, even if it was just for a little while.

Hesitating for a moment, I took a deep breath and stepped inside the bar. The smell of alcohol hit me like a wave. I had always been a light drinker, never one for hard liquor or heavy nights of partying.

But tonight was different. Tonight, I needed something strong, something to numb the pain and make me forget, if only for a little while.

I was ready to get drunk tonight.
