As I entered the Kasern, I could feel all eyes on me. Everyone was whispering about the son of Atlas who had just completed a mission against Windgeister. I knew they were curious about me and my abilities, but I had no time to waste on idle chatter. I had a reward to claim.
I walked over to the bar, where the bartender, a cyclops and also the vice guildmaster, greeted me. I asked him if he had any information about ancient artifacts that could help me in my quest for revenge against the gods.He laughed and shook his head and explained that such information was highly secured and could not be shared with just anyone.
Frustrated, I knew I had to find another way to uncover the secrets I needed. As I turned to leave, something caught my eye on the counter. It was a plane ticket with my name on it. Confused, I turned to the bartender for answers, but before I could ask him anything, he snapped his fingers and suddenly I felt my eyes grow heavy.
The next thing I knew, I was waking up in a hotel room with a view of the Acropolis. I realized the cyclops had somehow managed to send me to Greece, the source of Greek power, where I could continue my search for the artifacts I needed. I was grateful for his help, but also wary of his mysterious powers. I knew I had to be careful from now on, especially when dealing with those who held such powerful secrets.
On the table in front of me was a backpack, my flute, and a bag of ancient Greek coins. But there was something else. A letter was under the bag.
To the Son of Atlas,
You may not know who I am, but I know who you are. Your quest for revenge has not gone unnoticed, and I believe I can help you achieve your goal. The museum near the plaza holds secrets that may lead you to what you seek. But beware, for the Harpyie are always watching. They will try to stop you, but do not let them.
Stay vigilant,
Your secret ally
The letter's instructions were clear: start the search at the museum near the plaza, but beware of the Harpyie. I didn't know what to expect, but I knew I had to act fast. I grabbed my gear and headed out the door, determined to find the answers I was seeking.
As I walked through the crowded streets of the city, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being followed. Every time I turned around, there was no one there. But I couldn't ignore the sense of unease that settled in my stomach.
When I finally reached the museum, I took a deep breath and pushed open the heavy doors. The museum was dimly lit, and the air was thick with the smell of dust and old artifacts.
I made my way to the Greek wing of the museum, where I saw a display case containing an ancient scroll. I felt a surge of excitement as I realized that this could be what I was looking for.
But as I reached out to touch the glass, a voice behind me made me jump.
"Looking for something, are we?"
I spun around to see a woman standing behind me. She was tall, with wild, curly hair and piercing eyes that seemed to see right through me.
"Who are you?" I asked, trying to keep my voice steady.
"The Harpyie," she replied with a smirk. "And you're trespassing."
Before I could react, she lunged at me with a knife. I dodged out of the way just in time, and pulled out my flute, which had transformed into a spear.
I stood in front of the Harpyie, ready for a fight. She was fast, and her wings made it hard to predict her movements. I swung my spear, but she dodged effortlessly. She was toying with me, and I could feel my frustration building.
As we continued to battle, I could tell I was losing. She was just too powerful for me. Suddenly, she swooped down and sliced my arm with her talons, drawing blood. But something strange happened. As her blood touched my skin, I felt a surge of power. It was as if a part of my sealed power had been restored.
With renewed energy, I launched myself at her. I rolled under her attack and with a quick throw of my spear, I was able to impale her. She let out a deafening screech as she crumpled to the ground.
I stood there, panting and sweating, looking down at the lifeless body of the Harpyie. I couldn't believe I had actually defeated her. But I knew I had to keep moving forward on my quest for revenge. And with the power I had just regained, I was one step closer to achieving it.
I took a deep breath and looked around the museum. Maybe there was something here that could give me a clue about the ancient artifacts I was looking for. I wandered through the exhibits, examining each piece of ancient Greek history with a discerning eye.
Suddenly, my gaze fell upon an old scroll hidden in a corner display. I carefully unrolled it, my heart racing with anticipation. The scroll was written in Ancient Greek.
The scroll spoke of a powerful artifact called the "Spear of the Sun," which was said to have been wielded by the god Helios himself. According to the scroll, the spear was lost for centuries, but rumors suggested that it may have been hidden in the depths of a nearby mountain.
Excitement surged through me as I carefully rolled up the scroll and tucked it into my bag. The thought of wielding such a powerful artifact gave me a renewed sense of determination to continue my quest for revenge. I knew that finding the Spear of the Sun would not be an easy task, but I was ready for whatever challenges lay ahead.
My old enemy Helios. He was no joke and I had to be careful.
I had my goal now. But I needed help from an old friend.
