Lisa groaned. Her body felt really weak as she tried to move. Her eyes opened lazily, about to call Lucas but she froze when she realised that she didn't recognise this place.
"Ahh, dear you're awake." A woman walked to her front and took a seat in front of her, only then did she notice that she was seated on a chair.
"Please tell me I'm not in another soul eating world." Lisa covered her face and grimaced. The very thought of it sent shivers down her spine. Not even a day had passed and yet she once again woke up in a different place not identical to her room.
Why!?.
"Fortunately, you are not. You're at my house!." The woman smiled and Lisa could only smile back.
How better that information made her feel. She thought sarcastically.
"I'm sure you must be wondering why you are here." The woman shuffled through some stuff on her table, her grey hair that was tied into a lose bun shifting with her.
Now that she studied the woman, Lisa noticed that she was quite old. Grey hair, some wrinkles on her face and an old fashioned gown that made her look plump and short.
"Found it!." She brought out a crystal ball and placed it on the table before focusing her full attention on Lisa.
"You're mother sent me." The woman announced and only that sentence was enough to lift Lisa's spirit tremendously. That means this woman knew her mother!.
"You know my mother?." Lisa asked with great interest.
Finally, she could find her mother!.
"Yes, we are close friends but before you ask me, I have no idea where she is. She talked to me through my dream, just as I'm doing with you right now."
The light in Lisa's eyes vanished just as quickly as it came and she fell slack on the the chair.
"So what did she want to tell me?." Asked Lisa.
"Secrets are hidden
Love is forbidden
Hearts are exposed
To something cold
Tears like water
Entangled with fear
I'm sorry to say you're downfall is near." The old woman concluded but Lisa's confusion only multiplied.
"My downfall is near? What did mother mean by that?." She asked no one in particular. Things were constantly getting more and more confusing!.
"How would I know?." The woman laughed and waved her hand over the crystal which morphed to show a person and on a closer view Lisa noticed that it was her?.
"Me?."
"You are the key Lisa. Only you can stop this war between the witches and the demons." Lisa watched herself fighting with a sword. She knew that sword!.
The image now changed to one of her on the floor, crying and shouting before the crystal became translucent.
"W-why was I crying?." She questioned the woman but gasped when she saw the woman was also getting as transparent as the crystal.
"Only you have the key." Her voice started sounding distant and Lisa panicked immediately.
"But what do I do? I-i don't have the faintest idea about any of these."
"You'll find out." She heard the woman chuckle before everything dissolved and Lisa woke up drenched in her own sweat.
"Are you alright?." Lucas's calm voice asked her and she saw him quizzically looking at her. He moved closer and she shifted backwards, immediately using her hand to separate them.
"Lucas don't, I'm sweating."
"So?."
"So you can't touch me while I'm like this." She folded her arms and he shook his head.
"But your my girlfriend."
"So?" She repeated his same words and he could only chuckle.
Lisa didn't know what happened but one minute she was sitted on the bed, and the next minute she was pinned to the bed by Lucas.
"So I have the right to you, your spirit, body and soul. Every single inch of your enticing body." He whispered.
"I know that." She whispered back. She didn't exactly know why they were whispering now.
"If you know that, you should also know that you can't deny me of what belongs to me. Hmm?." He hummed, still pinning her to the bed and enjoying the look she gave him.
"And by that you mean me?." She probed and he nodded.
"You belong to me." He confirmed and was about to say something but his eye caught a silver light that glittered around her neck.
A necklace?.
"How long have you had this?." He climbed off her and helped her seat up.
"Had what?." She asked and he pointed to her neck.
"Oh this, I don't actually know, I've just had it my whole life." She brought the necklace out and the silver chained necklace sparkled as the cross at the centre glimmed and Lucas's eyes narrowed at this.
"How have I never noticed it?." He didn't move his eyes off the necklace as memories seem to flow in.
Even when he bit her earlier, he didn't see this.
"I don't know that too. The necklace comes and goes as it pleases actually." She replied and removed it from her neck, giving it to Lucas.
Lucas's eyes softened as he gazed down at the necklace"My mother gave me this necklace."
Lisa lifted a brow slightly"Are you sure it's this same necklace?." Lisa doubted she knew Lucas's mother or where the necklace even came from in the first place.
"Yes I'm sure." He held the necklace tightly and looked at Lisa, a new emotion seeming to glister in his eyes.
"Have we met before?." He threw this sudden question at her and Lisa shook her head.
"I'm very sure that if I'd met you before. I'll remember." She informed and it was his turn to get confused. Why did it suddenly feel like they had met before or was he just assuming things?
"This necklace, I'd only given it to one person apart from my mother that gave me, the necklace stays with the owner even in death and now it's suddenly with you, How?."
Lisa didn't need to be told twice about whom he was talking about.
It was his dead mate.
Standing up abruptly, he climbed down from the bed.
"Freshen up Lisa we are going somewhere now." He stretched his hands out and helped her out of the bed.
"Where are we going to Lucas?." She blinked at him as he smoothened her hair before giving her a peck on her forehead.
"To the graveyard."
