With the TV still on, she walked to the phone and brought it to the living room. Her kids were all asleep. She was the only one awake in the house. She had already asked security to keep the gates locked and not to let anyone inside their property.
She knew the reporters would be there in case Tony didn't give a statement immediately.
"Birdie…"
Tony's voice was sunken as he spoke.
"Show's on…" Marcella increased the volume a bit. "Do you have the TV on?" she asked.
Tony hummed. "Yes."
"Let's watch together," Marcella said in a soft tone. She wished he was sitting beside her but this was close enough.
Behind the scenes, during the break, the host must have talked to Beth about whether she wanted to continue the topic or not. Her publicist and manager wouldn't have liked that she confessed to cheating with a married politician.
"Love is love," Beth said, clearly willing to continue the conversation.
